Day 1 & 2: Punta Arenas

Punta Arenas is the closest Chilean city close to Antarctica! Youll be starting your Patagonia Travel Itinerary from Punta Arenas. After reaching the place, youll be transferred to your hotel room. You can take your time, relax, unwind and prepare yourself for the Patagonia Travel Itinerary. Then you can begin by taking a ferry to Isla Magdalena! This location is popularly known as penguin spotting place, located in South America. 

 

Every year around 60,000 breeding pairs of penguin come here and these wonderful animals are considered to be the king of the place. On the second day of your trip, youre going to visit the Bahia Inutil. Here youll get to the only colony of king penguins. The whole day is worth spending watching out these peculiarly adorable penguins. At the end of the day just enjoy your dinner at one of the local restaurants!

Day 3: Puerto Natales

You already have spent two days in Patagonia! This is the third day of your Patagonia Travel Itinerary, and after watching these amazing creatures (penguins), its time to move towards Puerto Natales. Puerto Natales is a beautiful port city located in Chiles southern Patagonia on the Seoret Channel. Travelers come here to visit the popular Torres del Paine National Park located in the North Western part of the city and for touring through the Patagonian fjords. The Municipal Historical Museum is also one of the charms of the city for travelers here. Theres a gigantic variety of artifacts found in the region. Apart from that, theres also the huge Mylodon Cave. 

 

Youre going to start your day trip from the swarm of corrugated tin houses in Puerto Natales where you have the opportunity to see those handfuls of hiking shops. Puerto Natales is also a favorite spot for fishing lovers. You can try your hands at it! Then head towards the Torres del Paine National Park; you can either take a bus or rent a car to this place. And, you can spend the afternoon here discovering the surrounding. No matter if you are opting to live in a hiking hotel or in one of the boutique hotels, getting the know the incredible neighborhood is always the best thing. And, there are a couple of beautiful lakes and waterfalls that will surely win your heart! At the end of the day, just enjoy your dinner & relax in your cozy hotel room!

Day 4 & 5: Hiking in Torres del Paine

The fourth day of this Patagonia Travel Itinerary has especially been designed for those who love hiking! If you are also a keen hike, this day is going to be an incredible part of the trip. Today, youll be hiking the most advanced hiking trails O or W of the place. Two days in the Torres del Paine National Park is a good time as it generally takes four to ten days to trail through. Of the two W and O trail, W takes is the shorter one! But, since you are on a tight schedule, two days are going to be the best things for the Torren hiking.

 

Most hikers prefer beginning the day from the Sunrise. This is the time they can easily catch up with the views of the three towers here. After reaching the humongous towering peaks and the creamy green lake, you are all free to relax and enjoy. And, after trekking it hard, its always a great idea to enjoy a meal at one of the hotels. Seems wonderful!

Day 6: Grey Glacier and Pehoe Lake

This is the sixth day of your Patagonia Travel Itinerary! This day you are going to explore the stunning turquoise Pehoe Lake and the surrounding. Youll be beginning your day after enjoying breakfast! Its going to be incredible strolling around the turquoise Pehoe Lake, and its great hiking in the area. And, after you are tired of hiking, you have much more to enjoy in the area. 

 

A number of beautiful waterfalls here are the charm of the Pehoe Lake tour. Next spot for this day is going to be the Grey Lake! In the afternoon, youll be heading towards the place where the huge Grey Glacier sits, the Grey Lake. You can reach to this place either by hiking through the ice on a Bigfoot Patagonia or by a boat trip. If you are choosing to hike across the ice, youll be provided with all the necessary equipment. This is going to your last chance to enjoy in Chilean Patagonia, after which you will be heading for Argentinian Patagonia!

Day 7: El Calafate

This day of the Patagonia Travel Itinerary, you will need to get up a little earlier. Enjoy your breakfast and take the first bus from the Torres del Paine to El Calafate, that falls under the Chile-Argentina border. 

 

You have to make it earlier or you may get stranded in the long queues. After reaching El Calafate, which is considered as the glacier capital of Argentina, you can enjoy some street shopping, horse riding, and the get settled down in your accommodation. In the evening, you can enjoy your perfect meal at any of the restaurants. This will fuel you up and make you ready for the next day.

Day 8: El Calafate to El Chalten

Today you are going to visit one of the most fantastic attractions of El Calafate, the Perito Moreno Glacier. You are going to spend the day watching out for the huge glacier from different angles. 

 

Its amazing to listen to the thundering sound of the hitting waters and melting glaciers. And, you can also take a boat trip around the glacier or walk through the path of the park and go for ice-trekking. After enjoying the wonder of the Perito Moreno, youll be making your way for El Chalten.

Day 9: Cerro Fitz Roy
