Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Bucharest

Upon your arrival at Henri Coanda Airport, you will be welcomed by your private guide. They will transfer you to your luxury hotel in Bucharest. After check-in, take your time to settle in and soak in the atmosphere of the beautiful capital of Romania.

Day 2: Bucharest Walking Tour

On this amazing guided tour, uncover the top places of Bucharest and marvel at the monuments of the historical city center. Some of the major attractions of the tour include the Revolution Square, the Romanian Athenaeum, the Old City with its wonderful 19th-century buildings, and the Old Court from the times of Vlad the Impaler, aka Dracula. End your tour with a visit inside the monumental Palace of Parliament, the second-largest administrative building in the world after the Pentagon.

Day 3: Traditional Romanian Meal and Wine Tasting Tour

Have an amazing time relishing a traditional Romanian meal, along with fabulous wines. Get an opportunity to learn more about the history and traditions of Romanian wine and gastronomy. Your tour guide will receive you from your hotel and then drop you back after dinner. There is no better way to know about the culinary culture of Romania than to enjoy some delicious Romanian food and wine!

 

Day 4: Venturing to Danube Delta

the Romanian capital and make your way to the Danube Delta, a natural reserve and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your first stop will be Constanta, where you can stroll through the city. We will also arrange a guided tour for you to explore the area. On your way to the Danube Delta, you'll pass through some stunning Gypsy towns. Afterward, your guide will bring you directly to your hotel, which will be your base to explore the Danube Delta.

Day 5: Exploration of the Danube Delta

The natural wetland of the Danube Delta is one of the most biologically divergent areas in Europe, boasting hundreds of species of birds, plants as well as other wildlife. On this tour, you'll wander around the Danube Delta with an expert guide. In the end, visit the Letea Forest and wander into this strictly protected area.

Day 6: Wandering Through the Mountains and Forests of Transylvania

Today, you'll leave for Romania's coastal region and make your way deep inland to the mountains and forests of Transylvania. The drive will take around 6 hours, so you'll want an early start. En route, stop at the popular Peles Castle, one of the many spectacular monasteries you'll pass along the way. 

Day 7: Walking Tour of Brasov and Bran Castle

After breakfast, you will be driven to Brasov. Your walking tour will start in the central square to learn more about the history of Brasov and Transylvania. Visit the Black Church, the largest Lutheran church in Southeastern Europe, and discover the narrowest street in Europe, known as Rope Street. Continue your journey to the popular Bran Castle, constructed between 1377-1382 and is the muse of the famous Bram Stoker Count Dracula myths.

Day 8: Heading to Bucovina

Today, enjoy the ride to the stunning region of Bucovina, known for its unperturbed nature and UNESCO-listed painted monasteries. Venture through the Carpathian Mountains and stop at two scenic stops, Red Lake and the Bicaz Gorge. If time permits, your personal guide will take you around the wonderful city of Piatra Neamt.

Day 9: Maramuress Top Attractions

Visit the best highlights from the Maramures region, starting with the Merry Cemetery and the Sapanta - Peri Monastery, the highest church in the world formed entirely out of wood. Later, visit the Cosau and Iza Valley villages and admire archaic whirlpools. Afterward, stop at Barsana convent, the largest and most gorgeous spot in Northern Transylvania. 

Day 10: International Departure

Your guide will take you to the airport in Maramures for your international departure. If time permits, you can also go shopping to buy souvenirs before heading back home.
