Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Tirana, Albania

Arrive in Tirana, the capital city of Albania. At the airport, meet your private guide, who will escort you to your hotel. Later, spend the day leisurely exploring the city center. Then, visit the Dajti Mountain National Park, where you can take a cable car to the top of the mountain for stunning views of the city. In the evening, grab dinner at a local restaurant and try some traditional Albanian dishes. Head to your hotel.

Day 2: Trip to Durres

Today, take a day trip to Durres, the second-largest city in Albania. Durres is known for its ancient history and Roman ruins, including the Durres Amphitheatre, one of the largest in the Balkans. After exploring the ruins, spend the afternoon on the beach, soaking up the sun and taking a dip in the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea. Enjoy dinner at a beachside restaurant, and return to your hotel.

Day 3: Explore Shkodra

Hop on a two-hour drive and head north to Shkodra, a city known for its beautiful lake and castle. Visit Rozafa Castle and learn about the history of the city and its famous landmarks. In the afternoon, take a boat tour Lake Shkodra to see the surrounding wetlands and wildlife. Return to Tirana hotel. 

Day 4: Travel to the Albanian Alps

Today, travel to the Albanian Alps (a four-hour drive), where you can explore the beautiful mountains and forests of the region. Visit the Valbona Valley National Park and hike to the Theth National Park for stunning views of the surrounding landscape. In the evening, stay in a traditional guesthouse and enjoy a hearty meal of local food.

Day 5: Take a days trip to Gjirokaster

Today, visit the city of Gjirokaster (a three-hour drive), known for its well-preserved Ottoman-era architecture. Take a walking tour of the city and visit the Gjirokaster Castle, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. In the afternoon, visit the Ethnographic Museum, where you can learn more about the history and culture of the region. Return to your hotel.

 

Day 6: Journey to Berat

Today, explore the southern part of Albania, starting with Berat (a one-hour and thirty-minute drive). Berat is known for its old town, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Berat Castle, which offers panoramic views of the city, and explore the ancient streets and buildings. In the afternoon, visit the nearby town of Apollonia, which was once a significant center of learning in the ancient world. Check into your hotel for a lavish dinner. 

Day 7: A relaxed day at the beach

Today, visit the beautiful beaches of the Albanian Riviera. Hop on a three-hour drive to Saranda, a coastal town known for its crystal-clear waters and white sand beaches. Spend the day swimming and sunbathing, and enjoy a delicious seafood dinner at one of the local restaurants in the evening.

Day 8: Visit Vlora

Today, visit the city of Vlora (a two-hour drive), located on the southern coast of Albania. Visit the Independence Monument commemorates Albania's independence from the Ottoman Empire. In the afternoon, visit the nearby beaches of Orikum and Dhermi to catch a sunset. 

Day 9: Departure

After breakfast, your private guide will drive you to the airport for your international departure.
