DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Coaching: Arrival in the Capital City of Kerala

Upon arriving in Kerala you will realize that nothing could have been a better decision than this! Your first day in this paradise land after many hours of speculations and many ifs and buts on where to travel in India. No matter how much time it took to take the decision, at the end what matters the most is that you are happy about it. This is your first day in Kerala and you will be landing here on the Cochin International Airport. If you have opted for escorted tours of India then your personal guide will meet you at the airport and he will be taking you to your Luxurious Hotel in Cochin. He will also take care of documents and everything related to your India tour. And, after relaxing and settling down, you can see some of the places like Kerala Folklore Museum, Santa Cru Basilica, Pardesi Synagogue, and Mattancherry Palace.

 

Day 2: Cochin –Exploring Munnar

On your second day in Cochin, your destination would be Munnar! Make it a little earlier in the morning. After having breakfast, just embark on your journey to explore the treasure trove hidden in Munnar. And, if you want to get some time into a snow-capped hill station, then this is the place. If you think that you can just see those Sun-kissed beaches in Kerala then you are absolutely mistaken. Munnar is an exceptionally beautiful hill station located in the lap of south India. Then you can wander around to see the greenery with the large tea plantation. When you are in Munnar, you cannot forget visiting the Tata Tea Factory. It will be amazing to see how tea is actually manufactured. And, then there’s Thirumeny Cultural Centre, Indian Kathakali show, and Attukal Waterfalls, you can choose to see.



Day 3: Thekkady - Periyar National Park, Kadathanadan Kalari Centre

Thekkady is located in the Idukki district! On your third day in Kerala, you will venture out to see your next destination - Thekkady. It’s actually the Wild Corridor of the Southern part of India. The vibrant and beautiful lush green trees surrounding the place will once make you feel; it was not a great idea pondering so long on where to travel in India. So, don’t waste time and just venture into visiting the Periyar National Park, which is the most favorite place of travelers. You will get to see here plenty of gigantic animals from close. There are around 1000 Elephants Wild Boar, Tigers, Bison, and other animals. After spending some wild time here, just head towards Kadathanadan Kalari Centre. And, after that, you can enjoy shopping, and roaming around.



Day 4: Kumarakom - Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary

On your fourth day, you will be heading towards Kumarakom from Thekkady. Kumarakom is particularly famous for its backwaters. The first things you will be seeing here would be the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. The chirping sound of different varieties of birds will run goosebumps through your body. And, the next thing to see here would be going on the backwater ride. In the evening, enjoy some delicious South Indian dishes.

 

Day 5: Alleppey - Floating houseboats, Kuttanad

On your fifth day in Kerala, you will understand why it is not a good idea to waste even a fraction of minute pondering on where to travel in India. It takes just 45 minutes to travel from Kumarakom to Alleppey. Here the most enduring experience is the floating houseboats. It will be an out-of-the-world experience to see those living houses on River. And, it’s way more pleasing to bask into the panoramic beauty of the place sitting in the boat. And, in addition to that, you can see Kuttanad here, one of the tourist attractions of the place. It is also known with the name of “Rice Bowl of India”.

 

Day 6: Kovalam – Kanyakumari

Your next destination would be Kanyakumari, which just at a distance of one and a half hour. The first thing that you will see on one of your best India tours would be the Vivekananda Rock Memorial. When you are in and around the Southern corners of India, this is one of the most beautiful places you will see. Other tourist attractions here are Thanumalayan Temple, padmanabhapuram Palace, Wax Museum of Kanyakumari. After seeing all this, you can stay in one of the cheap hotels in Kanyakumari.

 

Day 7: Kanyakumari – Departure Day

To make the most of your last day in Kanyakumari, it’s a great idea to wake a little earlier to see the rising Sun from the Sun Rise Point. And, after that, you will need to reach Trivandrum from where you will be taking your flight back home. Happy seven days on your trip to Kerala!!
