DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1-2: Meet the Himba People

Your arrival in Namibia will happen in the late evening. This means you won’t be having enough time to step out and explore beautiful Namibia on day one. Hence, relaxing and resting in the hotel is highly recommended, especially if you are on a family vacation.

Wake up early in the morning and get done with your breakfast. Your guide will meet you at the hotel reception. He will inform you about the schedule of the day and may be of the coming days, it depends upon his preparations. Today, you are more likely to drive and meet the talented and unique Himba people. They are one of the last Semi-nomadic humans who have managed to survive the harsh climatic changes and the vast desert of Namibia. The moment you will meet them, the quirky red sand covering all over their skin will grab your attention. They have their own lifestyle and they are somewhere proud of it. They have kept themselves miles away from westernity which has made them unique yet inspiring people of the world. Since meeting the Himba people in their town is not common. You will have to contact certain authorized communities for this. Fret not!! Your guide will do this for you. Today, all you need to do is to admire the endless desert and the inspiring Himba people. Return to your hotel before the dark and find the hot and delicious delicacies of Namibia awaiting at the dinner table.

Day 3: Visit the Spitzkoppe Rocks

There are many places in Namibia that are full of picturesque elements and the land of Spitzkoppe Rocks is one of them. Today, you will admire the stunning and the incredible rocks of Spitzkoppe that are open to climbing as well. If you are an enthusiast, opt to climb one of these rocks and if not, simply admire the beauty of these rocks from a distance. Plan a small picnic at one of the scenic spots of this place and drive back to the hotel in the late evening.

Day 4: Watch the sunrise over Sossusvlei

The last night you returned to the hotel room quite early which might put your mind at work thinking why couldn’t I roam more last day? Well, we had a strong reason behind it. The plan went the stunning sunrise over Sossusvlei is next in your Namibia Safari adventure.

Sossusvlei is one of the best places of Namibia which is famous for the stunning sunrise which you must witness during your trip, Keeping this in mind, you will be sleeping early in the night so that you can wake up before dawn and leave for the Sossusvlei desert where sand dunes cliffs mark the world’s best sunrise moment. In a bid to witness the mesmerizing view of the sunrise sliding off the red sand dunes, you will have to reach the gate of Namib-Naukluft around 4 A.M. Since waking up earlier than 4 and reaching the gate on time is not easy and there are chances that you do not get to witness the sunrise even after waking up early in the morning and struggling with the long queues at the gate. To avoid this, plan to stay overnight in one of the nearby camps. This way, you will become one of the camp members who and hence will be allowed to enter the gate much before the sunrise. So, stay in the camp, wake up at 4 AM, and enter the Namib-Naukluft to witness the most beautiful sunrise you have ever watched. After watching the sunrise, return back to your place, get freshen up, get done with the breakfast and leave for a drive to Etosha National Park where the wildlife of Namibia await you with open arms.

Day 5-6 Etosha National Park

No trip to the southern part of Africa is complete without inculcating the wildlife in it and so will be this trip. To add a wild turn to your Namibia Safari adventure, we will take you to the famous Etosha National Park which is at a 5 hours drive from the capital city Windhoek. Make sure you have eaten well before leaving for Etosha because the drive is going to be a bit long and you will be reaching Etosha only in the late evening. However, an en-route lunch and a few stopovers will keep you full and engaged during the drive. Your stay will be in one of the famous lodges of Etosha where you can relax and sleep overnight. The next morning, you are all set to start the adventurous bog game drives in the Etosha National Park. A local bushman will take you to the many trails of the park where you can spot as many animals as you can count. From lions to zebras, elephants to hyenas, and rhinos to countless birds, the wildlife to witness and admire are many in the park which reassure fun and adventure you are going to have in Etosha. The roads in the park are not in terrible form and hence you can think of self-driving for an intimate game drive.

Day 7: Visit Swakopmund

Your last destination on the trip will be charming Swakopmund. A short charter flight will wing you to Swakopmund for lunch. After this, another short flight will take you to the little Kulala situated in the unending Namib-Naukluft Reserve. Here, you will have significant close-ups with the mother nature and all of them will be as unique as the previous one. The en-suite camps, scrumptious sundowners, and open-air star-beds will be the highlights of the camp. Admire the endless grassy plains and wowmazing mountain formations that makes this place totally picturesque.

Day 8: Departure

Your 8-day Namibia Safari Adventure is finally completing and today you will be saying Cheerios to the scenic beauty of this place. With lots of special memories in your heart, you will transfer to the airport for a happy return. Do not miss to enjoy your farewell breakfast in the hotel before the exit formalities.
