The festival is brought to you by the Mountain Memories Association. This will reportedly be a family-friendly event fun, food, drinks, and music. According to a recent email, the Fiesta Days Festival “continues to be the longest-running, family-friendly, multi-day celebration in the mountain communities, with people from all over Southern California making the three-day event a regular, yearly pilgrimage. Last year's attendance was estimated to be over 5,000 people.”
Each day will include special highlights: Friday afternoon will include a Pet Show. Said to be a popular activity the people at the Mountain Memories Association encourage everyone to “come watch our animal friends parade across the stage! Enter your furry feline or scaly snakes in the Pet Show! Three categories to choose from Best Dog, Best Small Animal, and Best Dressed. There's also one trophy awarded for Best Overall.” Saturday will include the early morning activity known as the Ed Perine Memorial Parade. Everyone is invited to “come see one of the longest-running Mountain Communities parades.” It will feature numerous floats, horses, and other entries and run “from the Assembly of God Church to the park.” There is also the VFW Pancake Breakfast in the Community Building at the park, various family games, amusements and rides for everyone. They add that the “Houchin Community Blood Bank (Mobile Blood Drive) will be available for blood donations. In following our mission of promoting the health and welfare of the community, we hope to contribute to the local blood supply. Please consider giving the gift of life! A special edition Fiesta Days button will be given to all donors.” Sunday will include another VFW Pancake Breakfast and “Worship in the Park”. Everyone is invited to “join the community-wide worship service held in the park with music and singing.” There will also be the annual Horseshoe Tournament and the George Erb and Brian Prosser Log Sawing Contest.
