Elizabeth Windsor’s father, George VI was still on the throne when she married Philip Mountbatten on November 20 1947. She did not yet know that she soon would be Queen. The honeymoon of newlyweds began at Broadlands, a country house near Romsey, Hampshire, which was the family home of the Mountbattens.
PRINCESS DIANA AND PRINCE CHARLES
Diana met Charles in 1977 and they were wed a year later when Diana aged twenty. The duo spent their honeymoon sailing aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia over the Mediterranean. Their honeymoon was concluded by the pair visiting Balmoral in Scotland where the rest of the Royal Family had gathered.
KATE MIDDLETON AND PRINCE WILLIAM
William and Kate honeymooned on uber-exclusive North Island in the Seychelles, which is a remote archipelago in the Indian Ocean, just off the coast of East Africa. The couple traveled by private jet for their week-long vacation on this private island that has just 11 luxury villas.
GRACE KELLY AND PRINCE RAINIER III OF MONACO
Kelly and Prince Rainier III first met in April 1955 at the Cannes Film Festival, after she was invited to take part in a photo session at the Palace of Monaco. She and Rainier following their wedding took a seven-week Mediterranean cruise on his yacht, Deo Juvante II, and made a stop at the Hotel Formentor in Mallorca.

The pair, who had known each other since childhood, were connected romantically after meeting at a party at Floors Castle. On his 26th birthday, Prince Andrew proposed and they were married soon after. The newlywed couple boarded a jet to the Azores Islands near Portugal and then had a five-day sail across the Atlantic abroad the royal yacht Britannia.

The son of Juan Carlos I and Sofia of Greece was not yet King of Spain when he met Spanish TV journalist Letizia. The pair wedded in a highly publicized event in May 2004. Their honeymoon began in Cuenca, in Castilla-La Mancha. The medieval city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The couple also visited artistic sites in and around the town, which is known for its casas colgadas (hanging houses), suspended from sheer cliffs overlooking the Huécar river.
