DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1-2: Nairobi

If you are traveling to Kenya for the first, you will find Nairobi a bit intimidating but trust us the city is equally attractive and exciting. Most of the people who visit this great city find it a bit crowded, busy and congested. However, in entire Kenya, this is the only city where you will see humans crowding the streets and if you can handle this well, the whole Kenya tour is going to be no less than icing on the cake for you.

After arrival, you will have an option either to take a quick tour of the city or stay there for a day or two to know its lifestyle and top attractions. The choice is all yours. However, we would recommend you to spend at least 2 days in the city to soak your eyes with adventure and vibrancy that this place has in stock.

If you are a foodie, you would fall in love this city as it has some amazing restaurants that are known for having excellent Ethiopian food. You must try Habesha or Abyssinia and nyama choma (grilled meat of goat) along with signature Kenyan ‘Dawa’ cocktail in one of such restaurants.

You might have planned this Kenya Safari itinerary to witness the wilderness in the wild but it does not mean that you should see the same on the very first day of the tour. There is a reason why the safari has been scheduled in the later days of the tour and you will realize the same on the first day of the trip. So, keep your spirits high and enjoy being in the country of mammals.

Day 3-5: Masai Mara

Wake up early in the morning if you do not want to miss the time that you will get to spend with animals in the majestic Masai Mara. This incredible habitat of the wilds is located at a drive of 6 hours from Nairobi which means you will spend half of your day in driving. So, wake up in the early morning and get done with your breakfast as fast as you can. Take a shower and pack your bags. Your guide will meet you at the reception from where you will be picked up for a 6-hours drive to Masai Mara.

After your arrival in Masai Mara, you can pick any of the famous lodges of the area to stay overnight. Since the arrival will be made in the evening, you will have no other option than resting in your lodge which you can utilize soaking your eyes and senses with the freshness of the forest. Let the first day settle down with spotting the scenic views of the place and keep the real adventure intact for the next day.

Wake up at your own comfort with the sounds of the birds and maybe the elephant passing nearby. Enjoy the fresh cup of cappuccino served at your desk with delicious breakfast. With en-suite toilets in the loge, getting fresh in the morning in a place like Masai Mara would not be a struggle. Get freshen up and leave for your first safari experience in Kenya.

Masai Mara borders Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and hence contribute to forming one long wildlife corridor which is actually split into 2 by the national borders of these countries. However, the animals of the parks do not pay attention to these man-made boundaries and freely roam across the vast expanse of the corridors as per the weather condition.  A few glimpses of the same can be witnessed during the great wildebeest migration that happens in the specific months of the year. Being divided into two parts, the animals found two parks somewhat. In some seasons, if one goes dry, the other is filled with water which smart wildebeest pick up quickly and decide to switch to the land which appears more greener.

Masai Mara is small in size as compared to Serengeti but this allows it to be at least densely populated with wild animals. Spotting wildlife in Masai Mara is too easy. From the big five to buffalos, zebras to elephants, on your full-day guided tour of Masai Mara, you will be able to spot more animals than you can count. Ab overnight stay and dinner will be in an offbeat Mara camp which makes star gazing possible in the lap of the mother nature.

You will find the big five in abundance and this is the best part of this adventurous Kenya Safari tour. Two days you will get to explore the park to the fullest which means time will not be a reason to skip anything - either big or small - in Masai Mara. Your guide will take you to the top attractions giving you peace of mind while exploring the same.

Day 6: Diani Beach

By this time, you have tasted the wilder side of Kenya and also experienced walking in the bustling and vibrant city of Nairobi. Now, your next destination should give some peace of mind wherein you can enjoy sitting idle and soak the scenic views of the country in abundance. On the last day of your trip, you will find yourself in Diani Beach which is among the top-most attractions of Kenya. The mesmerizing beach is packed with miles long stretches, cocktails, serene waters, and the epic weather. There will come a few stalls from where you can buy cocktails and barbecued seafood which adds value to it. The best thing to do on the beach is to put your feet in the sand and simply walk along the shores. You can enjoy a full-day until evening in the park without getting bored.

Day 7-8: Back to Nairobi and Departure

Your 8 days Tour in Kenya is finally completing and today you will be saying Cheerios to the scenic beauty of this place. With lots of special memories in your heart, you will transfer to the airport for a happy return. Do not miss to enjoy your farewell breakfast in the hotel before the exit formalities. You will love the sweet gesture shown by the hotel staff.
