Upon arrival at the Colombo airport, meet your private guide, who will transfer you to the hotel in Negombo. Spend the day exploring the city and trying some local food. Visit the great Buddhist temple and the Catholic church. Return to your hotel for a lavish dinner.
Day 2: Negombo Sigiriya
Venture out on an excursion of Sigiriya, making your first stop at the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, which is a UNESCO world heritage site. Then, visit the 'Heavenly Maidens', one of Sigiriya's famous frescoes. Spend the evening at leisure, exploring the local markets and the nightlife, and taste the local cuisine for dinner before returning to the hotel.
Day 3: Sigiriya to Dambulla
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Dambulla. Visit the stunning cave temple of Sri Lanka called Dambulla Rock Temple, built in the 1st century B.C. by King Walagambahu. After lunch, visit the Minneriya National Park and spot a variety of leopards, deer, and elephants. Also, view the Minneriya Tank, built in the 3rd century, which is one of the park's best features. Return to your hotel for dinner.
Day 4: Sigiriya to Trincomalee
Make your way towards Trincomalee on a two-hour drive. Visit the Koneswaram temple, which celebrates the sacred existence of Lord Shiva. Then, proceed to the town market, where you will experience the life of fishermen. and spend the evening relaxing on the gorgeous beach on the Naweli coast and trying some fresh seafood for dinner.
Day 5: Trincomalee
Venture out to the first destination for today, the Pigeon Island National Park, to see some of the best coral reefs in Sri Lanka. Journey to Kandy and check into your luxury hotel and enjoy a delicious meal.
Day 6: Kandy
After breakfast, visit the spice Garden in Matale. Then, walk around Kandy Lake, which was built by the last Sinhala king in 1798. Visit the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy, a sacred Buddhist site. In the evening, enjoy a cultural dance performance while you relish the traditional cuisine.
Day 7: Kandy Colombo
Continue your journey to Colombo (a three-hour drive). Check into your hotel. Spend leisure time visiting the markets, the National Museum, and other attractions. In the evening, take a boat ride along the Colombo Harbour and see the city from the water. Return to your hotel for a gourmet dinner.
Day 8: Departure
Depart from Colombo and return home with memories of your fantastic trip to Sri Lanka.
