Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Rome

 

Your private guide will receive you and take you to the pre-booked hotel. After brunch, you will set out to explore The Pantheon and The Spanish Steps. There is a total of 135 steps, so bring your walking shoes. In the evening, spend some time at Piazza Navona and have dinner before heading back to the hotel.

Day 2: Wander the Vatican

 

Explore the Sistine Chapel, whose magnificent frescoed ceiling is Michelangelo's most famous work. After visiting St. Peter's Basilica and St. Peter square, your tour guide will take you out to supper before bringing you back to your hotel.

Day 3: Assisi

 

 

After breakfast, you will board a private car and see Assissi's spectacular landmarks, including St Francis Basilica, Santa Maria Degli Angeli, San Rufino Cathedral, and Santa Chiara. You'll have an Italian meal before traveling to Florence and spending the night in a magnificent hotel.

Day 4: Florence

 

Spend a day in Florence, the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. Explore the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral and its spectacular Campanile, the Piazza Della Signoria, the Old Bridge, and the Duomo, a famous cathedral designed by Brunelleschi in 1296. You will return to the hotel for dinner and a good night's rest. 

Day 5: Visiting Bologna

 

You will visit the Piazza Maggiore, a sprawling plaza with arched colonnades. You will also go around the City Hall, the Fountain of Neptune, and the hugely famous Basilica di San Petronio. The city has two medieval towers known as Asinelli and Garisenda. After lunch, you will be traveling to Venice where you will spend the night and enjoy the nightlife.

Day 6: Venice

 

Your private water taxi will transport you to Venice, where you will enjoy a walking tour of St. Mark's Basilica with your guide. The tour will also include stops at the Doge's Palace and the Bridge of Sighs, as well as shopping in Venice's marketplaces and shops. After lunch, you will cruise the romantic canals on the Gondola, and ride a Vaporetto to cafes and eateries. Visit St. Mark's square for enjoying the panoramic view of the city. 

You will return to the Venice hotel for dinner. 

Day 7: Tuscany and Montepulciano

 

 

Your guide will take you to the beautiful landscapes of Tuscany. You will pass through the Val di Chiana to reach Montepulciano. It is a town well noted for its fine red wine, so you will have a fun time wine tasting. Spend some time strolling around the scenic streets, shopping, and visiting the little stores. 

 

After a short stoppage, you will reach Montepulciano to see the Museo Civico, housed in the 14th-century Palazzo Neri Orselli, dedicated to archaeological artifacts, medieval and Renaissance paintings, and sculptures. You will head back to the hotel in Tuscany for dinner.  

Day 8: Departure

Its time to say addio to Italy. Meet your private guide who awaits you in the lobby to drop you at the airport.
