Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Reykjavik

Meet your private guide at Keflavik airport, who will transfer you to your hotel. Set off with your guide on an introductory tour of the city. Move on to Blue Lagoon where you can relax while enjoying the therapeutic waters of the hot spring. Return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 2: Reykjavik City Exploration

Your personal guide will take you for a tour of Reykjavik and the surrounding area today. See the old town center, the Parliament, the Cathedral, the harbor, Hofdi house, the Summit site of 1986 and Harpa which is one of Reykjaviks greatest and distinguished landmarks. The National Museum of Icelands permanent exhibition, Making of a Nation, provides insight into the history of the Icelandic nation. End the tour at Hallgrmskirkja church where you can take in a view of the whole city.

Day 3: Enjoying Solheimasandur

Leave early in the morning to visit the Gullfoss waterfall. En route, stop by the Gullfoss caf for a fulfilling lunch before heading to the waterfalls. Spot some beautiful Icelandic horses on the way. Wonder at the gorgeous waterfalls and climb to the top to get an entirely different view of the place. Then, visit the Solheimasandur plane wreckage to learn more about the sad incident.

Day 4: Exploring Skaftafell and Jokulsarlon

Spend a few leisurely hours in the morning at the popular black sand beach. Head straight to Skaftafell National Park and soak in one of the many attractions that lie along the way. The Laki lava fields are one of those spots and completely represent nature's beauty. The fields are covered in moss, giving the place an ethereal beauty. Walk downhill to approach the waterfall upon arrival at Skaftafell. Enjoy watching the water streaming downwards from the hills.

Day 5: East Fjords, Djupivogur, and Myvatn

Your guide will drive you to the coast of East Fjords in a private vehicle, and you will encounter a beautiful waterfall on the route. Enjoy some leisure time at this gorgeous natural waterfall. Make a stoppage at Dettifoss if the roads are not closed because of heavy snowfall and soak in the quaint atmosphere.

Day 6: Strolling around Myvatn

Reach the Fjords and discover why it is one of the most famous sites in the world regarding hiking and natural beauty. It is a narrow inlet with steep cliff sides where past or current glaciation is below the present sea level. Explore the area for the entire day and retire to your resort for the night.

Day 7: The Lights of Aurora Borealis

Today is at your leisure to rest up for an exciting evening. Once the sun sets, you will be transported to a clearing away from artificial light to see the phenomenon of the Aurora Borealis (aka The Northern Lights). If the night is clear, you will see mysterious lights dancing on the Arctic Skyline.

Day 8: Heading to Reykjadalur Hot Springs

Your guide will take you in private care on a short 45-minute drive to unravel the volcanic beauty of the Reykjadalur Valley. Take a short hike up to the warm waters flowing from the Reykjadalur Valley. Get immersed in the otherworldly sceneries of bubbling pools, beautiful waterfalls, and gushing rivers. Relax in the soothing waters of the naturally heated hot springs.

Day 9: Departure

Today, your private guide will transfer you to the airport for your international departure.
