Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Havana

On reaching Havana, meet your private guide at the airport, who will escort you to your hotel in the heart of Old Havana in a vintage American car.

Day 2: Walking Tour of Havana

Your guide will take you on a private walking tour of Havana's old town, visiting the four main Plazas of Havana Vieja and many of its cobbled streets and vibrant, colonial buildings. 

Day 3: Exploring More of Havana

Join your private guide on a food tour today. Eating out in Cuba is more about the experience than the food itself. Your private guide will take you to the best spots to relish authentic traditional cooking. Then, your guide will show you around the city, where you will encounter an amalgamation of Cuban history, politics, and way of life. Have a lavish dinner ll before returning to your hotel.

Day 4: Heading to Vinales

This morning, your private guide will pick you up from your hotel and transport you to the scenic town of Vinales in the tobacco-growing area of Pinar del Rio, about two and a half hours from Havana. On the way, you will stop at a specialist cigar factory to learn more about Cuba's most famous export and have lunch at a local homestay to get a feel of Cuban life.  Check into your hotel and enjoy a lavish dinner.

Day 5: Vinales Exploration

Today, get ready for a private tour of the valley, famous for its captivating limestone outcrops known as mogotes. You will explore the quaint town, visit a tobacco plantation and witness one of the local cave systems. 

Day 6: A Scenic Journey to Las Terrazas

Get ready to be transferred to the rural community of Las Terrazas today, which is an hour's drive north. Traversing across and stopping by to admire the picturesque beauty of the tropical fruit plantations and mountain ranges covered in thick jungles, lakes, and valleys. Check into your luxurious hotel.
In the evening, hop on a rowing boat out on the Lago del San Juan, the lake around which this community is clustered. 

Day 7: Enjoying Time in Las Terrazas

Venture out on an adventurous zip-lining and birdwatching trip with your private guide. Enjoy shopping at the local artists' studios or El Cusco Bazaar, a place exhibiting local handicrafts and art. Las Terrazas is famous for a well-known Cuban musician, Polo Montanes. Visit his home and connect with the local musicians and artists who gather here weekly and experience soulful Cuban music while enjoying your dinner and heading to your hotel. 

Day 8: En route to Trinidad

Embark on a 5-hour journey east through the countryside to the colonial city of Trinidad with your private guide. You'll cross through local towns unperturbed by tourism. Your guide will stop at spots for shopping and sightseeing, ensuring plenty of time to stretch your legs. Enjoy your dinner at a premium hotel and stay for the night. 

Day 9: Trinidad Exploration

Go hiking in the mountains behind Trinidad for spectacular views over the coast below and a fascinating walk through the Topes de Collantes nature reserve. Your hike will end at a beautiful waterfall for an exhilarating swim. Enjoy lunch at a typical Cuban hacienda before returning to the city in the afternoon. Return to your hotel for dinner. 

Day 10: Beach Time in Cayo Santa Maria

Meet your guide at the hotel and get a private transfer to your all-inclusive resort on the white sandy beaches of Cayo Santa Maria. En route, you will stop at the city of Santa Clara and witness the monument and museum dedicated to the revolution's greatest hero, Che Guevara. Then, visit the lovely town of Remedios and explore the colonial square before continuing your journey to your resort for dinner. 

Day 11: Relaxing Moments in Cayo Santa Maria

Spend the day relaxing on the beach. Enjoy a luxury spa treatment, and do snorkeling in the evening. Have a luxurious dinner at a beachside restaurant, then head to your hotel.

Day 12: One-Day Tour of Camaguey

This morning, youll be transferred to Camaguey in a four and half hour's drive accompanied by your private guide in the center of the country via the Valle de Ingenios. Experience the living museum sugar mill, have dinner, and your guide will take you to your hotel.

Day 13: Traveling to Santiago de Cuba

Depart Camaguey this morning and travel to Santiago de Cuba on a three and half hour's drive in a private vehicle, stopping in the town of Bayamo on your way and visiting the famous Basilica del Cobre. In the evening, your guide will take you on a private tour of Santiago, including the coast-side fortress of Cayo Granma and Castillo del Morro. You will have dinner and check into your hotel for rest.

Day 14: Traversing to Baracoa

Today, you will venture with your guide on a four-hour drive to the eastern city of Baracoa. Enjoy the picturesque journey along 'La Farola' - the road meandering through the Sierra Maestra mountain range and down to the coast. Enjoy a walking tour of Baracoa with your guide to view the spectacular scenery at Yumuri river and El Yunque National Park.  

Day 15: Spending Final Day at Baracoa

Today, you will be driven to the Alejandro Humboldt National Park, bird-watching in this UNESCO World Heritage reserve. Experience a variety of habitats and species unrivaled in the insular Caribbean, resulting in one of the planet's most ecologically varied tropical island locations. Return to your hotel for dinner. 

Day 16: Departure Back Home

This morning, you'll be transferred to Holguin for your return flight back home.
