Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Vienna

Arrive in Vienna and get a private transfer to your hotel. Spend the day exploring the city. Visit iconic landmarks such as the Vienna State Opera, the Burg Theater, and Vienna's Dazzling Church. Enjoy a traditional Viennese dinner at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel.

Day 2: Day trip to Salzburg

Take a day trip to Salzburg (a private three-hour transfer), the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Visit the city's many cultural and historical landmarks, including the Salzburg Cathedral, the Hohensalzburg Castle, and the Mozart Birthplace Museum. In the afternoon, take a walk through the picturesque Old Town and enjoy some of the city's famous pastries and coffee. Check into a five-star hotel for rest and dinner.

Day 3: Head to Berchtesgaden

Head to Berchtesgaden, a beautiful mountain town in the Bavarian Alps. Spend the day exploring the stunning natural surroundings, including Eagle's nest, Knigssee lake, and Hohen Gll mountain. Enjoy a traditional Bavarian dinner at a local restaurant in the evening before returning to the hotel.

Day 4: Drive to Innsbruck and the Tyrol

Your private guide will drive you two hours to Innsbruck. Spend the day exploring the city and the surrounding Tyrol region. Visit the Golden Roof, the Innsbruck Cathedral, and the Tyrolean State Museum. In the afternoon, take a cable car ride up to the Nordkette mountain range for panoramic views of the city and the surrounding Alps.

Day 5: Journey to Mondsee

After breakfast, your private guide will drive you two hours to Mondsee. Explore the beautiful lake district. Take a boat ride on the Mondsee lake and visit St. Michael's Church, which was used as a filming location in the movie "The Sound of Music." In the afternoon, visit the nearby town of St. Gilgen, take a leisurely walk along the lake, and enjoy water sports and sailing. Then, head to the famous 15th-century Basilica founded by Pope John Paul II. Check into a state-of-the-art hotel for a lavish dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Moving to St. Gilgen

Spend the day exploring the charming town of St. Gilgen and its surroundings. Take a hike in the nearby mountains, and ride the most popular Zwolferhorn mountain cable car ride. Visit the Mozart family's vacation home, and enjoy some of the local cuisine and wine. Later, hop on the old cog railway up Schafberg Mountain. The steepest steam cog railway has been going up since the late 1800s and is truly an unforgettable experience. Return to the hotel for dinner. 

Day 7: Drive to Hallstatt

Drive to the picturesque town of Hallstatt, located on the shores of Lake Hallstatt. Spend the day exploring the town's narrow streets and visiting its many cultural and historical landmarks, including the Hallstatt Salt Mines and the Beinhaus (Bone House). In the evening, enjoy a traditional Austrian dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 8: Return to Vienna

Get a private transfer back to Vienna. Visit the Belvedere Palace, home to the most extensive collection of Gustav Klimt paintings worldwide. Head to the Prater amusement park in the city's second district for fun and excitement. Take a ride on the Giant Ferris Wheel for breathtaking city views. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a cozy taverna in the Grinzing neighborhood, famous for its lively atmosphere and delicious wine. 

Day 9: Departure

Saying goodbye to Austria is always challenging. Spend your last few hours strolling through Vienna's historic streets, admiring the grand architecture and shopping for souvenirs. Then, get a private transfer to the airport to catch a flight back home.
