Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Tirana

On arrival at the Tirana airport, meet your private guide, who will drive you to your hotel. Later start your exploration from the city center. Then, visit Skanderbeg Square, the National History Museum, and the Et'hem Bey Mosque. Before returning to your hotel, grab dinner at a local restaurant and try some traditional Albanian dishes.

Day 2: Explore Durres

Today, take a day trip to Durres, the second-largest city in Albania. Durres is known for its ancient history and Roman ruins, including the Durres Amphitheatre, one of the largest in the Balkans. After exploring the ruins, relax on the beach and swim in the crystal clear waters for the rest of the afternoon. Have dinner at a seafood restaurant and return to your hotel to unwind. 

Day 3: Visit the famous Art Museums of Tirana

Today, visit the National Museum of Archaeology to learn more about the history of Albania and see some of the country's most important artifacts. In the afternoon, visit the Bunk'Art Museum, a former nuclear bunker turned into a museum showcasing the history of Albania during the communist era. In the evening, enjoy traditional Albanian folk music and dance performance.

Day 4. Tirana has more to offer

Today, visit the Tirana Art Lab, a contemporary art gallery showcasing the work of local artists. In the afternoon, visit Petrela Castle, a medieval castle located just outside Tirana. Enjoy the views of the surrounding landscape and learn about the castle's history. In the evening, attend a football match at the Air Albania Stadium, home of the Albanian national football team.

Day 5: Discover the controversial past and vibrant culture of Tirana

Today, visit the Pyramid of Tirana, a controversial building initially constructed as a museum to honor the former dictator Enver Hoxha. After lunch, visit the National Gallery of Arts, where you can see an Albanian and international art collection. In the evening, attend a classical music concert at the Opera and Ballet Theater

Day 6: Visiting Shkodra

Today, take a day trip to Shkodra, north of Albania. Visit the Rozafa Castle, built in the fourth century, and learn about the history of the city and its famous landmarks. In the afternoon, take a boat tour of Lake Shkodra to see the surrounding wetlands and wildlife. Enjoy a traditional fish and seafood meal at a local restaurant for dinner. 

Day 7: A world-class culinary experience

Today, visit Mt. Dajti National Park and hike to the mountain to get panoramic views of the city. In the afternoon, visit the Bektashi World Center, a religious complex dedicated to the Bektashi Sufi order. In the evening, attend a traditional Albanian cooking class and learn how to make some of the country's most famous dishes.

Day 8: Departure
