Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to the bustling city of Kathmandu! After arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will meet your private guide, escorting you to your hotel. Later, head to the nearby market for souvenirs and explore the delicious Nepalese cuisine on many street food stalls, such as dal bhat (a hearty lentil soup served with rice, or chow mein, stir-fried noodles with vegetables) and momos, their specialty. After spending the evening at leisure, return to your hotel for much-needed relaxation and an ecstatic dinner.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing

Today is all about exploring the rich cultural heritage of Kathmandu. You will start your day with a visit to the Pashupatinath Temple, one of the largest Hindu temple complexes in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From there, you will head to the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, for its unique blend of Hindu and Buddhist influences. Your next stop will be the historic city of Bhaktapur, known for its traditional architecture and pottery. After a full day of sightseeing, you will return to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara

Get ready for a scenic road trip as you drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, also known as the "Gateway to the Himalayas," a beautiful city surrounded by towering mountains and pristine lakes. The private drive will take approximately 6 hours. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and spend the night in Pokhara.

Day 4: Pokhara Sightseeing

After breakfast, head out to explore Pokhara. The first stop will be Phewa Lake, one of the region's most picturesque bodies of water. You can take a leisurely boat ride across the lake, admiring the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the serene ambiance of the lake. Next, visit the International Mountain Museum, dedicated to the Himalayas and the mountaineering history of the region. The museum showcases a vast collection of artifacts, photographs, and other memorabilia related to mountaineering in the region, making it a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the subject.

The World Peace Stupa is another popular attraction in Pokhara that offers panoramic views of the city and the surrounding mountains. This beautiful Buddhist temple is a symbol of peace and spirituality. From the stupa, you can see the towering peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges in the distance. After a full day exploring the city, return to your hotel for dinner and a good night's rest.

Day 5: Flight to Mahendranagar

Today, you will take a scenic flight from Pokhara to Mahendranagar, which takes approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and spend the night in Mahendranagar. Take a leisurely walk through the city, soaking up its unique blend of Nepalese and Indian cultures. Mahendranagar is famous for its street food, so try local specialties, such as chaat, samosas, and kulfi. In the evening, visit the historic Shuklaphanta Temple, located just outside the city, to experience a  serene atmosphere. Return to your hotel for dinner. 

Day 6: Mahendranagar to Kanchanpur

Today, you will be exploring the surrounding area of Mahendranagar, starting with a visit to the nearby Kanchanpur district. Kanchanpur is known for its lush green forests and rolling hills and is a popular destination for trekking and outdoor activities. Visit the Bhimdatta Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Bhim. The temple is surrounded by stunning landscapes and is considered one of the most beautiful temples in the region. Next, visit the nearby Thakurdwara Temple, located in the heart of a bustling bazaar. The temple is a popular destination for pilgrims and tourists, and it offers a glimpse into the region's rich spiritual and cultural heritage. In the evening, you will return to Mahendranagar for dinner and then return to your hotel for a final overnight stay.

Day 7: Safari Adventure At Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve

After breakfast, get a private drive to Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve ( a thirty-minute drive). Listen to the sounds of nature as you embark on a full-day jeep safari in the Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve. You will be accompanied by an experienced guide who will lead you on a wildlife adventure. Watch out for elephants, tigers, rhinos, and many rare species of birds. You will return to your hotel in the evening for a delicious traditional meal and a well-deserved overnight stay.

Day 8: Another Day At Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve

The wildlife adventure continues in Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve as you spend another full day on a jeep safari. This time, you will visit Ghodaghodi Lake, a haven for migratory birds and also known for its scenic beauty. Return to your lodge for lunch. In the evening, you will also take a trek through the heart of the Shuklaphanta Watershed, a vast expanse of pristine wilderness home to incredible flora and fauna. You will pass through lush forests of rhododendrons, towering pines, and rolling hills and have the opportunity to spot some of the region's unique wildlife, including tigers, rhinos, and elephants. Along the way, you will also encounter traditional villages, where you can interact with the friendly local people and learn about their culture and customs. Return to your lodge for another overnight stay.

Day 9: Flight back to Pokhara

Today, you will take a flight back to Pokhara, where you will check into your hotel and spend the evening at leisure, taking in the sights and sounds of the city.

Day 10: Departure from Pokhara International Airport

It's time to say goodbye to Nepal as you get a private transfer to the airport for your departure flight. This wildlife safari in Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve, the cultural tour of Kathmandu, and the scenic beauty of Pokhara will surely be a trip to remember!
