Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: A leisurely tour in the Colonial Capital

Entebbe is known as the Colonial capital of Uganda and there is a reason for that. Step into this majestic land and you will find it a cluster of colonial townhouses canvassed by vivacious trees. The main highlight of this place is the huge boulevard that runs directly to Lake Victoria, one of the legends of Africa. Your international flight will land you at the airport from where you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel. You may get time to explore this charming city for a few hours and it will depend on the time of the day you have landed in Entebbe. In short, day one of this Gorilla Trekking tour will mainly entail a leisurely tour you will make in the city on foot. Feel the breeze while passing by the colonial townhouses. Celebrate the first day with a delectable dinner in the hotel itself and get retire for the day.

Day 2: Kidepo Valley National Park

Wake up early in the morning to start an adventurous day in Uganda. After breakfast, escort for a luxury safari in the northeastern frontier of Uganda. You will visit the Kidepo Valley National Park that entails thousands of square miles of remote, desert savannah. While the main highlight of this park is its wider landscape but you may also get to spot hyenas drifting in the dust swirls of the park. Wander your eyes and in no time you will spot the wild dogs and a large herd of buffalos passing by the park. As the sun falls, hire a rented vehicle to enjoy the big game drive. Drive along the Kidepo River and who knows which wild animal awaits you at the shore. It can be wild birds or big cats.

Day 3-4: Two more days in the Kidepo Valley National Park

When in the Kidepo Valley National park, expect sights to pop up randomly. There is nothing guaranteed in the park. You may visit a flock of Ostriches or a group to Cheetahs. It happens unexpectedly in the park. So, if you really want to explore the hidden treasure of this valley, spend

at least 2-3 days in the park.

  • When planning to stay long in the park, you may get to witness the following moments:
  • A crackle of hyena fighting with lion cubs
  • An alpha male lion taking down a huge Zebra
  • Tracking a leopard that uses dust to trap hyena

The best way to explore the park to the fullest is to choose the game drives. Rent a vehicle for a day or two, depending upon your stay, and travel to the rarest corners of the valley. The more you explore, the more wilderness you will witness. The moments are unexpected but they are enough to give you moments of your life.

Day 5: Exploring the famous forest of mist - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

You will get a direct flight from Entebbe to Bwindi and it would be of 30 mins drive from one of the trekking trailheads. Reaching Bwindi in the early afternoon, you will have an opportunity to explore the local villages before exploring the wildlife. The villages have retained a tradition that stretches back for centuries. Most of the lodges in Bwindi are perched above the forest with uninterrupted vistas onto a canopy that is commonly consumed by swirling mist. So, if you are arriving in time for lunch, you get a chance to trek in the surroundings at a leisurely pace.
