Detailed Itinerary

The Tahiti vacation package will commence with your arrival in the capital city on the first day of the tour. In these 8 days, you will be traveling the entirety of the Tahiti, pearls of French Polynesia and 5 other destinations as well. Check out the details of the tour here from the following itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Papeete and sightseeing

On the first day of the Tahiti Vacation package, you will be arriving in the beautiful capital city of Tahiti – Papeete which is one of the islands in the group of islands. You will be met with the tour operator who would take you to the hotel to get some meal and refresh after a long flight. Once you are refreshed, you can choose to come out and start checking out some sights. In the afternoon, you will start the sail for Bora Bora in a private boat. The dinner will be served on board and you can sleep amidst the gentle waves. 

Day 2: Visiting Bora Bora

The second day of the trip would be dedicated to the experience of Bora Bora. You will be arriving nice and early into Bora Bora today and once you have had the breakfast with a view of the Bora Bora Lagoon as well as the Mount Otemanu in the background, you can have the option of taking in many activities for the two days you are here. The activities that you can get here include a cultural tour with a local guide in 4 by 4 jeep, snorkeling while watching out for sharks and stingrays, or visiting an open-air Lagoon aquarium. There are many other optional activities available too which you can get with the help of your tour guide. Spend the night tonight anchored in the Bora Bora lagoon. 

Day 3: Visiting Bora Bora and Huahine

On the morning of the third day, you will have the chance to take part in many cultural tours in the 4 by 4 jeep that would be booked for you. Once you have had the lunch while onboard, you can cruise out of the Bora Bora and towards the next destination for the day, Huahine. You may want to spend the afternoon on the bed where you will be provided with the sunbeds on the top decks and spend some quality time basking in the sun ion the lounge. You will be arriving late in the evening to Huahine and then will be spending the night anchored inside the lagoon. Accommodation on the boat itself for the night. 

Day 4: Visiting Huahine

The fourth day of the tour would be dedicated to visiting Huahine which has two main islands. These islands are beautiful and can be considered as jungle paradise filled with tropical plantations including coconuts, vanilla orchids, banana groves, breadfruit trees, and watermelon fields. Apart from all these natural abundances, this place is known for its cultural significance. This island was once home to the royalty of Tahiti and consists of many temples known as Marae in the French Polynesian culture. Some of these temples even date back to 700AD. So, today, you will have the option for two cultural tours – one-half day and one full day. The half-day tour would be a drive o the 4 by 4 vehicle and you will visit some small villages of Fare which is an archaeological site as well as to Maeva which is a vanilla plantation. Once you visit these places, you will come back to the boat for lunch while the full day excursion would include a boat tour to a local pearl farm, complete with a picnic lunch and snorkeling

Day 5: Visiting Huahine and Taha’a

On the morning of the sixth day, you will be leaving Huahine and then set sail for the island of Taha’a which shares a beautiful lagoon with the neighboring Raiatea Island. This group of islands is one of the most fertile ones and has active plantations of banana, watermelon, vanilla orchid, and coconut groves. You will have the chance of visiting the beautiful island in a 4 by 4 vehicle and visit a pearl farm as well as a traditional vanilla plantation while enjoying some of the local fruit in the region while engulfing the beautiful views of Ha'amene Bay. The afternoon of the day would be free for swimming and snorkeling on the ‘motu’ or locally called a reef islet. You can also go for exploring the area around the reef on your own time while spending the night in the lagoon area on the boat. 

Day 6: Visiting Raiatea

The first destination in the morning would be to sail across the lagoon and reach the neighboring island of Raiatea which is considered to be the ancient homeland of the Polynesians. This island was previously known as Havai’ I  and the name Raiatea translates to “faraway heaven” and “sky with soft light”. Today, you will be having a chance to take part in some leisure activities such as an optional speedboat ride down Faaroa River with an expert local guide. You will also be visiting the ancient marae temple at Taputapuatea, which was recently listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can learn about the history of Taputapuatea after which you will be enjoying a picnic lunch of local fare. Get back to the boat to relax on the boat before it set sails for Mo’orea overnight. 

Da7: Visiting Moorea

On the second last day of the Tahiti vacation package, you will be reaching Mo’orea in the morning and immediately spot eight huge mountain peaks that rise from its lagoon. The island is said to have helped in inspiring the mythical Bali Hai from James Michener's Tales of the South Pacific. You can also go for an optional activity on a nature safari tour in a vehicle. Explore the inner crater of the island’s volcano while visiting a pineapple plantation as well as an agriculture school which is situated on the island. You will meet back on the ship later in the day to have the farewell dinner together after which you will be going back to Papeete in the night. 

Day 8: Departure from Papeete

Today is the last day of the tour, you will be arriving in the morning to the last destination of the tour and also the vibrant capital city of Papeete.
