Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Bouma National Heritage Park, Taveuni Island

Birders, hikers, and nature lovers can immerse themselves in the lush natural beauty of Fiji in Bouma National Heritage Park situated on the island of Taveuni. The park was founded in 1990 and contains over 150 square kilometers of rainforest, with a striking diversity of birds and rare tropical plants, and also 4 villages that have the responsibility to manage segments of the park. You can hike through the rainforest to ancient ruins close by Vidawa; wander the Lavena Coastal Walk, stop at waterfalls for a soothing swim along the way, or snorkel in the marine park at Waitabu. Tavoro Waterfalls are a particular attraction of the park, having 3 sets of falls supported by the closeby Korovou village, where one can swim in the cool volcanic pools and click photos of the water streams cascading down the rock surfaces. The park also has Lake Tagimaucia, which is a crater lake, and where the sparse Tagimoucia flower blossom, and De Voeux Peaks offering incredible views from its 1195m summit.

Day 2: Mamanucas

The movie Cast Away was filmed on the picturesque island Mamanucas chain’s unsettled Monuriki island which you can visit on a day trip. In Mamanucas, the string of white sand isles lingers in the blue water like some paradise hallucination. For the time being, popular surf spots such as Cloud Break attract wave riders and their families. On the other hand, Beachcomber Island is famous as the ruling party resort island of the country. Wish to experience some good weather, sand, waiters serving cocktails and lots of tourists, then Mamanucas is the place for you, though you won’t get an entire cultural glimpse out here.

Day 3: Kadavu

The fourth-largest island of Fiji, Kadavu is a must-visit during your Fiji vacation. Divers from all around the globe visit Kadavu to immerse themselves in an underwater world of tunnels, drop-offs, pinnacles, corals, tropical fish and caverns. From the southern shores of Kadavu, the majority of the dive sites are quite easily accessible via boat. The currents here are usually moderate, while the visibility range from 10-40m. The dives include all difficulty levels, from beginner to advanced. Snorkelers here can get the chance to relish the rich marine life and an opportunity to swim with manta rays. There are designated fishing areas for anglers here and the reef is famous for its abundance of tuna, billfish species, giant trevally, as well as mahi-mahi.

Day 4: Sigatoka Sand Dunes

One of the best places to visit during your Fiji vacation us the sand dunes located near the mouth of the Sigatoka River. Rough and windblown, they remain up to 1km wide, 5km long, about 20m high, and ascending to about 60m at the western end because of which they were considered a national stop in the year 1989. This is basically a national park that is majorly visited by nature-lovers. Without any second thought, you can visit this place for a peaceful experience.
