Detailed Itinerary

The New Zealand vacation package will commence with your arrival in the magical city of Auckland from where you will travel to more than 10 locations throughout the eight days. After spending some time in Auckland, you will move to Whangamata, Mt Maunganui, Rotorua, Taupo, Wellington, New Plymouth, Waitomo Caves while coming back to Auckland to finish the trip. Check out the details of the tour here in the following itinerary – 

Day 1: Arrival in Auckland and sightseeing

On the first day of the tour, you will be arriving in the most beautiful city in Auckland to start the New Zealand vacation package. You will be met with the tour operator who would be helping you in transfer to the hotel where you can get refreshed and have some meal. Once you are done, you can get started on the tour. You will head to the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula leaving behind the big smoke of Auckland. This region is heavily famous for the kiwis who come here on summer holidays and is consistently regarded as one of the most beautiful parts of the world. Get on a quick goldmine tour in the historic Thames and then visit the famous Cathedral Cove beach which has appeared in many Hollywood feature films as well. It will be followed by digging a hole at Unreal Hot Water Beach to see some fun. The night accommodation would be made near Hot Water Beach where you can have Kai – a classic Kiwi BBQ. Spend the night at your leisure. 

Day 2: Visiting Whangamata to see Mt Maunganui

The day two of the New Zealand vacation package would be dedicated to the Mt Maunganui which is home to adventurous activities in the north. In the morning, you will head south and get to Whitianga to get near the famous Mount Maunganui. On the way to the mountain, you will stop near the popular beach and surfing town of Whangamata to get some beach activities done as well. When you reach the mountain, you can have the entire day at your disposal to spend it in whatever ways you can. There are some awesome photo points which can be used to take some memorable photographs of the tour. Come back to Whangamata to spend the night. 

Day 3: Visiting Rotorua

On the third day of the tour, you will head to the mecca of the tourism of New Zealand – Rotorua which is the most followed tourist spot in the country. On the way to reach this geothermal wonderland of the world, you get to visit the most anticipated places – the Hobbiton where you can remember the scenes of The Shire in the ‘The Ring’. You can talk to the residents of the area, some of whom also featured in the movies as well. Apart from that Rotorua is home to many fun activities as well and hence the rest of the day would be at your disposal to engage yourself in many fun activities offered here. You can get on the highest commercially rafted waterfall if you are an adrenalin junkie or get on the zip-lining or bungy if you love adventure. You can choose from among the host of activities offered in this part of the country. On the evening of the third day, you can have the chance to gorge yourself in the traditional Maori culture with an optional tour to experience in the Tamaki Maori Village. 

Day 4: Visiting Taupo

After spending some quality time in the city of Rotorua, you will head to see the beautiful and stunning Lake Taupo. But before reaching there, you will be stopping near the Huka Falls where 200,000 liters of water flow per second from the great lake into the start of New Zealand’s longest river - the Waikato River. Once you reach Taupo, you can get on the optional paid activities like bungy jumping, skydiving or jet boat riding which will be on offer. You can also choose to visit some of the lesser-known attractions of Taupo where many activities are available for free. In the night, you can go for some of the best known local wines and drinks near the bars which showcase the best nightlife of Taupo in the country. Stay here for the night. 

Day 5: Visiting Wellington

From the beautiful countryside city of Taupo, it is time to move to the cosmopolitan areas of New Zealand and the formidable amongst them is the city of Wellington. On the morning of the fifth day, you would be heading South from Taupo and stop in the midst at the home of New Zealand’s army to have some meals and get freshen up with some hot beverage. From there, you will be trekking on to the nation’s capital city – Wellington. Once you reach there, you will have dinner of your life in the most traditional ways possible or you can get on the streets of this beautiful city and hit the local pubs. You can choose to visit some of the local cafes in the city, take photos of the beautiful streets filled with arts and doodling, and head to see the famous national museum known by the name of Te Papa whose entry is free of cost. Apart from this, you can choose to visit many other locations through the city which won’t bore you an ounce. Grab dinner from some local shops and stay for the night in the capital city. 

Day 6: Visiting New Plymouth

After spending some quality time in the capital city of New Zealand, it is time to start the trek back up north on the morning of the sixth day. After a couple of hours of trekking and coach, you will arrive at the best-kept secret of New Zealand. The beautiful Taranaki region would be on display today where you can notice the famous and picturesque Mt Egmont which looms over this town. You will then visit the small city of New Plymouth and then in the afternoon will take a small trip to the local Pukekura Park to get some fresh air, great food, contemporary culture, cafes and many more things. Once you come back to the city of New Plymouth, you will be checking into your accommodation for the day and then head pout to take the advantage of the nightlife of this city which is very hospitable for its tourists. 

Day 7: Visiting Waitomo Caves and Raglan

On the morning of the seventh day of the New Zealand vacation package, you will be saying goodbye to the beautiful region of Taranaki from where you will continue your adventure north and reach the famous Glowworm caves of Waitomo. In this place, you can take a tour into the beautiful subterranean world with thousands of glow worms lighting your way and you won't believe what’s happening here. Get on the free Ruakuri walk which would take you through stunning native bush, limestone outcrops and natural caves. From there, you will be visiting the surf town of Raglan but before you reach there, you would be making a small stop at the beautiful Bridal Veil Falls, the name of which has come up with mysteries surrounding it. Get to the beautiful town of Raglan to experience the famous Raglan 'Sunday Sesh'. Stay the night at Raglan. 

Day 8: Visiting Raglan and departure from Auckland

Today is the last day of the trip but before you say bye to this wonderful trip of New Zealand’s northern region, there is a surprise package waiting for you as well. On the menu would be the beautiful town of Raglan which has some of the best surf breaks in the country and those who are willing to give it a shot can go for it here. Once you are done with the ensuing adventure that comes at Raglan, you will then be transferred back to the starting point Auckland where your tour operator would help you get transferred to the airport for the scheduled departure.
