Detailed Itinerary

On the first day of the tour, you will be arriving in the capital city of Lima to start the Peru vacation package. Throughout the seven days, you will be touring various parts of the country doing many adventurous activities as well. Check out the details of the Egypt vacation package in the following itinerary given here –

Day 1: Arrival in Lima

On the first day of the tour, you will be arriving in the capital city of Peru – Lima. This place is among the most beautiful cities in South America. It is here that you will be meeting with your tour operator who would help you to get transferred to the pre-booked hotel to get fresh and have some meal. You can come out in the afternoon to take a stroll in downtown Lima and see some of its attractions first hand. You should check out the nice dinners and some amazing places to visit. In the evening, a welcome dinner would be organized with all the fellow tourists at the unofficial food capital of South America. You will be served with the national dish of Peru, Ceviche at one of the best restaurants of the capital. After dinner, do start to take a walk to see some of the places such as the chic suburb of Miraflores, Central Park, Lovers' Park, and the National Museum. Stay for the night here.

Day 2: Visiting Cusco

On the second day of the tour, you would be taking an early flight to reach Cusco, one of the amazing cities of Peru. This place is situated at an altitude of 3450 meters or says 11,320 meters and it would take some time to acclimatize to the local weather and relief conditions. The first destination for the day would be a visit to the main square also called Plaza de Armas where you can see the San Pedro market in its entirety. After that, check out some quaint restaurants and artisans which can be found in the San Blas Square. Once you are done with this, you will be visiting Qoricancha (an Inca Sun Temple) and the famous 12 Angle Stone followed by a tour to the chocolate museum where you can get a chance to sample some hot chocolate as well made from local cacao beans. Here, you can also go for purchasing some souvenirs to take back home because there are lots of handicrafts and artisanal chocolate products available here. Stay the night here.

Day 3: Visiting Aguas Calientes

Today morning, you will be traveling by bus through the Sacred Valley which is located on the outskirts of Cusco. This beautiful green valley was once known as Wilcamayo to the Incas. This valley has been the main source of food for the high Andes and is one of the most beautiful places in Peru. You can even see maize crops grown here surrounding the river and also covering the terraces carved into the walls of the valley. On the days of the market, you can even browse through the stalls and search for some hand-painted beads or warm ponchos or perhaps try your hand at the new language, Quechua. In the afternoon, you will be boarding a train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes which is situated in the cloud forest and at the foot of the mysterious Machu Pichu.

Day 4: Visiting Machu Pichu

Today would be an unforgettable day as you would be visiting one of the mysterious places on earth which are even told to be built by aliens, The Machu Pichu. On the morning of the fourth day, you would be taking a bus up the mountain to rich Machu Pichu and this will take around 30 minutes but from the bus, you can be witness to some great sceneries as well. here, you will be availed a choice to determine whether Machu Pichu was built as a retreat for Incan nobles in 1440 or is an ancient astronomical observatory. The answer, to most people’s awe, would be the later one. You would be provided with a guide who would be happy to answer all your quests about this mysterious land. Check out many temples, palaces and living quarters inside Machu Pichu and take loads of photographs as well. once you are done with the visit, you will be returning to Cusco. There are some restrictions in place as far as visiting Machu Pichu is considered.

You would not be able to book any climbs of the Wayna Picchu due to the internal safety policy of the archaeological site.

All visitors must follow the routes which have been pre-determined by the authority to avoid loss of sight and direction.

Machu Pichu is one of the protected land areas of Peru and hence visitors must keep in mind to not disturb the sanctity of the place which might lead to security issues.

Once you come back to Cusco, you can go for some shopping or choose to relax under the beautiful atmosphere of Cusco or rest your legs at a cafe on Plaza de Armas. You can even try for a mountain bike adventure into the nearby hills to get some adrenalin going. Stay here for the night.

Day 5: Visiting Puno

On the morning of the fifth day, you would be taking a local bus across the beautiful Altiplano and reach to Puno which is located on the shores of the majestic Lake Titicaca. This journey would approximately take 7 hours. Here, you can mingle with the locals near the melting pot of Aymara and Quechuan cultures and see the traditional Andean Customs still prevalent. Stay here for the night.

Day 6: Full day for Lake Titicaca

Today is going to be one of the beautiful days when you would be touring the lake by a slow motorboat and stopping off to visit the Uros Floating islands. Using the versatile totora reeds found in the shallows of the lake, the Uros originally built their islands to isolate themselves from rival tribes. You should try to get closer to see the daily life in the region of Lake Titicaca and thus you should stay the night in the home of the local community.

Day 7: Returning to Lima and Departure

Today, you would leave the homestay in the morning and take a bus to Juliaca Airport which would take you at least two hours. From there, you would be taking a flight to reach Lima. Once there, you can visit some parts of the capital city if time permits. Depending upon the timing of the departure, your tour operator would help you get transferred to the airport for departure procedure.
