Day 1: Parliament Building

Your first day in Hungary and it won’t take time to get acquainted with the surroundings! After you have settled down, it’s time for your visit to the first site of the day. Parliament Building is going to be your exploration spot for the day. 

Built using the Gothic Revival style, the Hungarian Parliament Building houses hundreds of parliamentary offices. It is the largest building in the country! However the building looks pretty beautiful from every angle, but if you want to sink in the full glory of this place you will have to see it from the angle where the Danube is located.

The Hungarian Parliament Building, which was designed and built in the Gothic Revival style, is one of the largest buildings in Hungary and is home to hundreds of parliamentary offices. Although the impressive building looks fantastic from every angle, to see the whole building in its full glory, it is worth viewing it from the other side of the Danube. With most Hungary vacation packages, you will be guided to different areas of the building with guides dictating everything in the language. 

Day 2: Gellért Baths

On the second day of this trip, you will get on to an exploration of the Gellért Baths. This is a spa center & bath which includes a range of plunge & saunas pools, swimming pools & an open-air pool to enjoy bathing in. Visitors have extra facilities for spa & massage (that will be chargeable). Originally, the pool was built between 1912 to 1918, but during WWII it suffered massive destruction. In 2008, it was renovated and opened for visitors and is opened all through the day. Enjoy at the Gellért Baths, bathing, massaging, enjoying spa treatments, the whole day. At the end of the day, just get back to your hotel room and enjoy your sleep.

Day 3: Heroes’ Square

Heroes’ Square ~ this is going to be your spot for the third day of the trip! It is the place that indicates the place where Andrássy Avenue ends. Hero's Square houses one of the most popular monuments in the country ~ the popular statue that features the Seven Chieftains of the Magyars and also other national leaders of Hungary. And, there is this memorial Stone of Heroes locally referred to as the Tomb of Unknown Soldiers. And, at the top of the pillar, there is the Archangel Gabriel, who holds the crown of Hungary. At the two ends, there are statues of other popular Hungarian historical figures and the art galleries that attract tourists from different parts of the globe. Day 4: Margaret Island

Today, after breakfast and everything, you will venture out to explore Margaret Island. Located in the middle of the Danube River in the middle of two bridges, the Island is a popular parkland in Hungary. It is one of the top tourist attractions, both among the tourists & the locals. Margaret Island can be explored by renting golf carts, pedal carts & self-powered carts that are offered by plenty of companies. This is the perfect place to spend some time, particularly for those who want to get away from the hustle & bustle of the city. The “music fountain” is the most exciting thing about the Island, looking at the dancing water emanating from the fountain is extremely soothing. And, the medieval ruins in the parkland and the small aviary helping the injured water birds are things to see & enjoy. At the end of this day, just get back to your hotel, enjoy your dinner & catch some rest. 

Day 5: House of Terror

The House of Terror is the depiction of the story that goes with the rule of Communist & Fascists regimens during the 20th-century. This House used to be the headquarters of the Fascist Arrow Cross Party and in the preceding time, it was the torture venue & the prison for the State Security services of Hungary. There is an exhibition organized for the visitors depicting the fascist and communist “security services”. You can also wander around and see some of the prison areas that are in the basement area. If you want to learn about the history of Hungary then the “House of Terror” is one perfect destination. 

Day 6: Departure

Here ends your Hungary vacation! This day, you will be leaving for your home. Make sure to capture as many pictures as you can ~ it’s the time to redesign your memory book.
