Detailed Itinerary

Arrive in the historic city of Paris, also called the ‘City of Lights’, to start the eight days of France Vacation package. After spending two nights in Paris, you would be visiting Versailles, Giverny, Aix-en-Provence, Luberon, Gordes while coming back to the capital to end the trip. Check out the details of the tour here –

Day 1: Arrival in Paris and beginning of the tour

You will arrive in Paris, the city of lights, to start the eight days of France Vacation which would take you to many places. It is here that you would be meeting your tour operator and guide who would take you to the pre-booked hotel. You can start visiting the city right away as there is less time and there are many places to be covered. The first destination of the day would be to visit the famous Arc de Triumph, Place de la Concord, Place Vendome, the Champs-Elysees and the Notre Dame Cathedral and getting to see the impressionism with a visit to the Musée D’Orsay which has some of the best French Impressionist art collections. In the afternoon, you can have a go-to Parisian adventure and can join an optional excursion to the famous Mona Lisa on the Louvre. In the evening, you can get to sample some French cuisine and witness some views while having dinner at the Eiffel Tower. After that, you can get to visit and see the perspective of the city during a cruise on the Seine River. Stay the night here for visits to some of the famous places the next day.  

Day 2: Visit Versailles, Giverny from Paris

Today, you will be privy to some of the historic events which have changed the perspectives of the world. After having a light meal in the morning, you will be visiting the historic city of Versailles which has one of the most beautiful royal palaces of the 17th century and has unique architecture and gardens. You will be accompanied by a guide who would explain the architecture and history of the palace while leading you to the rooms of the state apartments. Get ready to discover the treasures uphold by the Queen’s bedchamber as well as the Hall of Mirrors. Check out the gardens which is very famous in the world and which took more than 40 years to complete. In the evening, try to visit Claude Monet’s famous painting ‘Waterlilies’ which comes to life with a visit to this artist’s home and the gardens in the village of Giverny. Explore Paris in the night on your leisure.

Day 3: Travelling to Aix-en-Provence on the TGV Train

Today morning, you will come aboard the high-speed TGV Train and get to visit the countryside of France to reach Provence. You will arrive in Avignon and tour the walled city which is often called as ‘City of Popes’ which acted as a center of European religion for 70 years when the Popes had moved here in 1309. Check out the palace of Popes with your guide and try to understand the place. You will then continue to Aix-en-Provence which is a beautiful town that was once traveled regularly by Hemingway and is an inspiration to many artists as well. the city of Provence is full of lively streets, squares, and fountains and you can walk in the steps of Cezanne when you visit his workshop to enter his home. You can then continue to the Mont Sainte-Victoire to see the natural surroundings in the painter’s works. After that, you should check out the 18th-century jewel of Aix-en-Provence when you visit the Hôtel de Caumont Art Center. Check out the private mansions and the architecture surrounding the place. Stay here for the night.

Day 4: Visiting Luberon, Gordes and coming back to Aix-en-Provence

Today, you would be visiting the Musee du Calisson which is a confectionary factory where you can have the unique taste of the Calisson. Here you can taste the mix of almonds, candied melon, orange blossom fragrance and marzipan which is a local specialty. After that, you can have a visit to the Provencal landscape when you visit the beautiful region of Luberon which is known for its beautiful lavender fields. Do take out some time to visit the hilltop villages of Gordes to explore the lavender fields, museum and the beauty of this plant, its distillation process, and history. This evening, you should stop at a local vineyard and check out the wine cellar and olive oil mills as well. Do step out in the evening to check for the local dishes of the region and a sumptuous Provençal meal paired with local wines.

Day 5: Visiting Cannes and Nice

On the fifth day of the tour, you will be traveling to Cannes which is called an elite place in Europe. Here, you can join some experts and get started the local walking tour of Cannes to know the fascinating history of the city and the Lerins Island which is located offshore. After that, you can visit the Film Festival Palace and check out the famous red carpet which is featured during the Cannes film festival. In the evening, you will be traveling to Nice which is another fashion destination in the world.

Day 6: Visiting Nice, Eze, Monaco, Monte Carlo

The morning of Nice would be a fascinating one when you visit the famous place of Eze where you can learn the secretive art of perfume making, the process of extraction to distillation and visiting a Parfumerie as well. then you will be visiting Monaco which is also called the dazzling gem of the Riviera. Then you will be visiting the famous casino of Monte Carlo to see the 3th-century Prince’s Palace. Also, check out the cathedral of Monaco here Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace have been buried. The tour of Monaco cannot be completed without giving a visit to the fascinating Oceanographic Museum. Come back to Nice for a fascinating day ahead.

Day 7: Visiting Nice, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and Nice Carnival

On the morning of the last day of the tour, you will come out of your hotel to witness the colorful flower market in Nice after which you can continue to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat to see the apartments of the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. Check out the gardens of the Mediterranean Sea and then to the Villa to have a light lunch. In the evening, you will be coming back to the capital city after having spent the day of the carnival.

Day 8: Departure from Paris

On the last day of the tour, you can try to go for some shopping as Paris is known for its fashion sense and markets after which your tour operator would help you to transfer to the airport for departure.
