Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, travel advisory in Poland has imposed severe restrictions on travel to the country. In fact, the entry of foreigners was also restricted in the country. However, the reduction in the number of cases calls for easing unnecessary travel restrictions.
May 2021 showed a significant decline in the number of coronavirus cases in the country, resulting in decreased travel restrictions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs consulted the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate and decided to come up with new limitations.

The U.S. and Canadian citizens and full-vaccinated individuals are legally allowed to enter Poland. For them, there’s no quarantine requirement on a Poland vacation package.
Other than that, travelers are subjected to a 10-day quarantine period. However, exceptions can be provided by fulfilling certain conditions. Following are the individuals on whom the restrictions will be imposed:
1. Travelers crossing the Republic of Poland border that constitutes of European Union's external border or from the Schengen zone.
2. Restrictions on individuals who are entering the country on a Poland vacation package from different parts of the world.
3. Individuals who came into contact with coronavirus infected people or are living with an infected person.
4. A person who was referred for a COVID-19 test by a primary care doctor or night care officer.
Note: Children under the age of 12 years traveling with vaccinated adults are not subject to quarantine on a leisure travel package to Poland. |

For Those Who Are Traveling To Poland From The Schengen Zone:
Travelers from the Schengen Zone are required to quarantine themselves for a period of 10 days. However, a negative COVID-19 test report will exempt the traveler from quarantine restrictions. The test should be performed within 48 hours of crossing the Poland borders. From May 26, 2021, any individual who presents a negative test report after arrival at the airport will also be accepted.
For Those Who Are Arriving In Poland From Outside The Schengen Area And The European Economic Area:
All the travelers who fall under this category are required to quarantine themselves for a period of 10 days. This will include travelers booking Poland vacation packages from India, South Africa, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and other nations. All these travelers can ask for the exception by showing a negative COVID-19 report that should be performed after a minimum of seven days of quarantine.
For the Schengen Area and the European Economic Area travelers, the test report performed within 48 hours of arrival will not work.

Social distancing
Social distancing is a mandatory requirement in the country. All the pedestrians are required to maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 meters. However, the following individuals will be exempted from the restrictions of social distancing on their leisure travel package.
1. Parents who are taking care of their children (under the age of 13).
2. Persons who live together or run a household with each other.
3. Disabled individuals who are unable to move on their own.
Wearing A Mask
There are certain places where wearing masks in Poland is mandatory. Individuals wearing masks should cover their mouth and nose adequately. Following are such places:
1. Buses, trains, and trams
2. Shopping malls, shops, and markets
3. Post offices and banks
4. Cinemas and theatres
5. Clinics, hospitals, massage centers, and tattoo parlors
6. Churches and other religious places
7. Schools and universities
8. Government offices and other civic centers
Other than these, if you are on a Poland vacation package and walking across forests, parks, green squares, gardens, and beaches, wearing a mask is not required. Also, while traveling in a private car, masks are not needed.
