My wife and I went on two tours with Wildlife Tours Rwanda and we must say that it was a tremendous tour we had. The travel agent Ninah worked with us to arrange for the Gorillas' tour. It was a little nervewracking giving the credit card information over the Internet but I would have been concerned with any company, not just them. Ninah was very professional and responded to our emails very promptly, which made us feel a lot more comfortable with them. The Akagera tour was arranged at very short notice. We had a group of over 20 people, so it was very impressive that they were able to put things together in such a short time! The tours were amazing and definitely worth it! I have been to Akagera twice before this on self-organized tours and I have to say -- don't skimp, use a professional outfitter. Their drivers are more familiar with the park, so they know where to go and how to find the best viewing spots and get close to the animals. They arranged a picnic lunch for us at the camping spot which was fun and made for some lovely photos. The gorilla trek is phenomenal, even given the price. The trek is mostly operated by the Rwanda Parks Authority and Wildlife Tours' responsibility is to get us there, register us with the Park and find us our tour guide -- all of which was done admirably. All in all, I would definitely recommend Wildlife Tours Rwanda. They are perhaps less polished than some other outfitters, but their prices can't be beaten. Great value for money!
