Myanmar Travel Review

The trip was great.  The agents from travel company were wonderful in planning what I asked .. they easily added and removed things as we were planning.  They always answered my questions quickly and made me feel confident that the trip was being well planned.  We spent 18 days in Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia and it turned out exactly as they had outlined.  The guides and drivers were extremely reliable, always there when we arrived and took us on the day tours as planned. We were very pleased with this agency and would use them again with no hesitation. Myanmar was a pleasant surprise.  We thought it was less "advanced" technologically but it isn't ... no issues with wireless and cellular phone usage.  The hotels were very nice and we always enjoyed that.  The lunches that were included were wonderful!  We had very large lunches that were well planned for us.

Probably nothing except for in Yangon, it is nice to see the Shwedagon Pagoda at night time.  We asked them to add that on on our way back through Yangon just before we left Myanmar.  The only difficult thing was arriving in Cambodia at the airport in Siem Reap ... they demand your fingerprints and I didn't understand when he said "thumb" so they got pretty angry at me.  It would have been good to know in advance that you have to provide your fingerprints when you arrive there ... both hands.  We had some challenges with my daughter being vegan and had to explain in most places what that means.   For this particular trip, if we could have, I would have added on some days in Vietnam.  We originally wanted to do that but not enough time however Myanmar is fascinating and I would not have wanted to reduce the time there.
