This trip was an excellent experience my husband and I had with this tour company. And even when unfortunate circumstances hindered us from traveling on our originally scheduled dates, they worked with us to re-book the tour with no issues. They even saved spots for us while we worked with our employers to secure the time off. Where else could you get that type of caring and understanding from a tour company? Our tour guide/expert/newfound friend Andy MacDonald was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and shared with us many, many stories of Ireland’s history.
We walked away with a new appreciation for Ireland and our families' ancestry. Andy's level of attention and service made it feel like we were close friends or family, rather than strangers traveling from America. The intimate size of the tour really allows you to explore Ireland as it should be and get to know your traveling companions. We were able to travel off the beaten path without the "paparazzi," as Andy calls them, disrupting our views or experience. The landscapes and scenery will literally take your breath away. The food, the culture, the nightlife, the people - all incredible and exceeded our expectations. If Andy gives you suggestions for pubs or restaurants, follow them, because you won't be disappointed! We dined like kings and queens during the trip! The accommodations were so lovely and quaint; we chose the B&B option to really immerse ourselves in the local community and culture. I'm so happy we did because we met some really lovely people. The breakfast options each morning were so diverse and could easily satisfy even the pickiest of eaters! My only wish is that we could make this trip last forever - it was very hard to leave. We made friends for life in Ireland - our home away from home!
