Croatia Travel Review

The agent that I was in touch with throughout the planning and the trip itself was wonderful.  He was very patient with all our many changes, of which I must admit were numerous, and all of our many requests. We had an amazing holiday in Croatia and in the 12 days that we had, we believe we managed to cover as much of the country as we wanted and expected. We had a fantastic driver who we grew very fond of during our visit, he was also very full of interesting information which kept the drives entertaining . We would definitely use the same agent and driver should we decide to visit Croatia again. The hotels booked for us were perfect and some even exceeded our expectations.

 We enjoyed all the different parts of the country for different reasons from the sunny coast in Opatija to the incredible cities of Split and Dubrovnik. The Ptilvice lakes were just amazing, and I have visited a lot of natural lakes before, but this was very unique indeed and well worth the trip. We absolutely loved that we could also go into Slovenia to visit the Postojna Caves too as part of our journey. Truffle hunting and oyster farm were a simple but fun experiences for both the adults and the kids, but it helps of course if you're a fan of truffles and oysters! We also were so touched by the welcome signs everywhere that we had meals organized by our agent, as well as the lovely surprise welcome gifts we received in our hotel rooms from the company of local goodies.

As we were a family group of 12 people, and mixed ages from 4yrs old to 64yrs then it was a little tough to keep to the exact itinerary we planned. Some of us wanted to see more than others, some wanted to rest in the hotel more, and some wanted to start the days later...this caused some amount of patience from our driver and our agent who was constantly changes dinner reservations and such. So perhaps if we did this trip again I would organize two transport vehicles instead of one. I would definitely like to see more of Istria, which we were not able to see places like Pula.
