Fun Filled Tour Of Costa Rica

This was one of the most memorable activities I ever experienced. Randall was a great tour guide. He taught us the history of Costa Rica and its animals throughout the day without being boring at all. This activity gives you access to the hanging bridges, a spectacular waterfall (you can jump in the water if you like), and then trek up a hill for a great view of the volcano. Definitely worth booking if you want to experience the Costa Rica rainforest and all its glory.

We were picked up from our hotel in La Fortuna around 7 am and dropped off around 4 pm.

Hanging bridges:

we walked around conservation and saw a couple of hours worth of wildlife (boars, toucans, spiders, owls), vegetation, and about a dozen hanging bridges. the views were fantastic and it was an unbelievable way to start the day.

La Fortuna Waterfall:

a lot of stairs going down to see the waterfall and going back up was tiring for 3 in-shape thirty-year-olds. the waterfall is a must-see. apparently, you are allowed to swim in the water there but it was closed when we visited due to recent rains - got the feeling that it wasn't open to swimming all that often.

The lunch was delicious. classic costa Rican meal had some beers. food was included, beer was not.

Arenal Volcano:

Hiked down a path and up a bit of a hill to get a beautiful close view of the volcano. note, this is not a hike up the volcano but you are very close to it. here Hector told us a lot about the history of the volcano and costa Rica. there were some tough steps on this hike.
