Austria Travel Review

It was last year and my daughter was graduating from her medical school when I decided to surprise her with a solo mother-daughter trip to Europe. After great deliberation, I decided that I should take help from some experts and then I turned to internet for that matter. I found this site called Leisure where they had amazing itineraries and plans to go for solo or group tours. I filled the requisition form and immediately received their attention. They provided us with some plans which I liked and then they asked for any customization to that. I wanted to have a solo car ride with my daughter and they gleefully approved of that. I was more than satisfied by the gratitude they showed towards the making of my trip.

Our travel agency did a great job handling the initial planning and once we selected our itinerary and dates, turned us over to a local contact who was a great source for setting up excellent private tours and arranging travel between our destinations.  Our travel planner was always prompt and friendly when answering my many emails before the trip. I wrote her lots of update emails during the trip just to let her know how much we were enjoying everything she planned for us!

We visited three cities (Prague, Vienna and Budapest), took a day trip to a national park and stopped in six small towns during the two days we travelled between cities by private car. Hotels were wonderful, each one different, all perfectly located. We took 4 walking tours with our travel agency. We were in good hands with the drivers. Walking tours in morning and getting ideas to continue exploring on our own in the afternoons. We walked tons, even though it was record heat. Outstanding views, beautiful buildings. Meeting all the guides (and having them all to ourselves) was so much fun. Learning history. Not having to worry about logistics and having free-flowing time to pack in all we could. Going to local restaurants. And best of all, having a once in a lifetime mother-daughter trip!
