Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Nairobi!

Arrive at Nairobi International Airport and meet your private guide, who will transfer you to your cozy hotel. After freshening up, go on a guided introductory tour of the city by visiting the Parliament Building, City Market, and Nairobi National Museum. You will enjoy a delicious meal at the famous Carnivore restaurant for dinner. Return to your hotel.

Day 2: Visit Mount Kenya, National Park

Head to Mount Kenya National Park on a two-hour private drive. Spot African elephants and other wildlife. Also, get a chance to take a hike to the peaks of Mount Kenya and admire the snowy landscapes. After your excursion, you will return to your hotel in Nairobi for the night for a delicious dinner and rest. 

Day 3: Lake Nakuru & Lake Naivasha Tour

Hop on a three-hour drive to Lake Nakuru and spot the big five and exotic wildlife such as black and white rhinos, elephants, zebras, and African wild dogs. Afterward, you will visit the lake to see the pink flamingos and other bird species. Then, you will head to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride to see the hippos and other aquatic animals. You will spend the night at a hotel near the lake.

Day 4: Exploring the Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Continue your journey to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Spot lions, zebras, wildebeests, and other animals during the Great Migration. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst beautiful nature. Return to your hotel near the reserve for the night. 

Day 5: Fly to Mombasa (Diani Beach)

Fly to Mombassa from Jomo Kenyatta International airport, Nairobi (a 30-minute drive from Massai Mara). Start your journey in Mombasa by checking into your hotel and taking a stroll along the beach to enjoy the beautiful views. Travel back in time by visiting the Fort Jesus Museum, which tells the history of Mombasa and its rich culture. After that, enjoy a traditional Swahili lunch at a local restaurant, savoring the taste of the local cuisine. End the day with a sunset cruise along the coast and admire the beautiful colors of the sky as the sun goes down. Return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 6: Exploring Mombasa

Take a day trip to the nearby Gedi Ruins and learn about the area's history. Next, visit the Mombasa Old Town, where you will find a maze of narrow streets and local markets, perfect for shopping and discovering the local culture. Take a cruise to see the mangroves and spot some dolphins; it's a unique way to experience Mombasa. Enjoy a delicious seafood lunch at a restaurant by the beach, and end the day with a traditional Swahili dance performance.

Day 7: A day of relaxation

Spend the day relaxing on the beach and enjoying water activities. Visit Haller Park, a nature reserve that is home to a variety of animals and botanical gardens. Have a farewell dinner at a rooftop restaurant with a view of the ocean, the perfect way to end your journey in Mombasa.

Day 8: Cultural visit to Lamu Island!

Start in the wee hours for a five-hour journey to Lamu Isle. Enjoy the island's spectacular scenery and spend a few hours at leisure. Then, after lunch, visit the Lamu Museum to learn about the island's history. End the day by visiting the Lamu Fort and watching the sunset from the rooftop. Stay the night in a luxury Island resort. 

Day 9: Return to Nairobi

Fly back to Nairobi for the last few days of your trip. You will visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to get close to orphaned elephants and rhinos. Check out the Blankets and Wine Event on the first Sunday of the month, or visit other local events. Return to your hotel for the last night.

Day 10: Nairobi has more to offer!

Start the day by visiting the Giraffe Manor, where you can feed and interact with the Rothschild Giraffes. Next, visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which protects elephants and rhinos. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before taking a walk in the Karura Forest Reserve and enjoying the beautiful nature. In the evening, visit the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden and learn about the history of coffee in Kenya. Return to your hotel for dinner. 

Day 11: Visiting Karen Blixen Museum and Bomas of Kenya

Visit the Karen Blixen Museum, the house of the author of "Out of Africa," and learn about her life. Relish delectable lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the Bomas of Kenya cultural village and learning the traditional way of life of different Kenyan tribes.

Day 12: Departure

Have a farewell breakfast, get private transport to the airport, and keep the gorgeous destination close to your heart as you board your flight, knowing that you will always have a piece of Kenya with you.
