Learn About The Israeli Society With This Unforgettable Israel Tour

Author: Priyanka Saxena on Oct 30,2018

There are only quite a few places on earth that stir up passion the way that Israel does - the awe-inspiring beauty of its hills and valleys, the stillness of the Dead Sea, the multi-hued canyon of Makhtesh Ramon, and the ancient walls and pathways of Nazareth and Jerusalem. The call of the muezzin, as well as the quiet prayers of Orthodox Jews at the Western Wall, manifest how the religious devotion of the Muslims, Christians, and Jews who live here runs through every aspect of life. What would be the better way to learn about Israeli Society than to go on our Israel Tour! This tour is going to be a perfect first-time introduction to the land of Israel.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Jerusalem – Welcome to Israel

Jerusalem is a city of the medieval world, religious quarters, spiritual connection and majestic aura. The cobblestone streets lead to antique boulevards. Your private guide greets you on your arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport, and escort you south to a luxurious hotel overlooking the Liberty Bell Garden.

After settling into the comforts of your accommodation, you meet your guide in the lobby. Your introduction to the city starts along the mile-long Sherover Promenade. The walkway provides a panoramic view of the Old City beginning at the southern stairway. After the walk, you head out to a charming restaurant situated in the old neighborhood of Yemin-Moshe, which was erected at the end of the 19th century. The restaurant provides panoramic views of Old Jerusalem, where you bask in the scent of exotic spices exuding from the kitchen.

Day 2: Full Day Tour of Jerusalem

At breakfast, you find the refreshing scent of strong Arabica coffee. After the meal, your guide will meet you at the hotel lobby, eager to escort you on a memorable tour of the City on the Hill, starting at the Mount of Olives’ slopes and Dominus Flevit Church. The panoramic view of the city is more dramatic in the morning when the sunlight casts a golden shadow over the streets, cream-hued stones, and gilded domes for which the skyline is popular. Your guide will be leading you to the gates of the church erected over the site where Jesus wept for Jerusalem.

Day 3: Visit to Haifa

This morning, before you leave Jerusalem, make a visit to the Church of the Nativity, which was initially constructed in the 4th century CE under the commission of Constantine the Great. The church was constructed over the spot where Jesus was born. Monks and priests venture through the interior halls.

Later, you continue out of Jerusalem and into Haifa, making a first stop in the West Bank to visit the town of Shilo, which was first established over 4,000 years ago in the Middle Bronze era.

Day 4: Exploring Safed

Today morning, after breakfast, you are going to depart from Haifa and travel to the Golan Heights in the north of Galilee. The scenic drive embraces verdant grasslands and tan cliffs.

The Golan Heights stretch about 40 miles from north to south and nearly 12 miles from east to west. The lunar landscape presents subterranean oases and hidden waterfalls. The rocky plateau around Mount Bental offers fabulous views over the flat plains leading to Syria. The peak holds the tale of one of Israel’s wars during the war for the Golan.

Day 5: A Day at Tel Aviv

Today morning, your guide meets you at the hotel and leads you to the mountains of Galilee in order to trace the miracles Jesus performed, starting at Domus Galilee. The Mount of Beatitudes stands at 190 feet below sea level but rises about 510 feet above the edges of the freshwater lake of the Sea of Galilee. A church has stood on the grounds since the 4th century, following a popular belief that Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount while atop the hillside.

You then head out to Nazareth, which is the largest Arab city in Israel, to discover the markets bustling with vibrant saris and mind-blowing music carrying over the cobblestone streets.

Day 6: Departure for Home

Today morning, when you get ready, your guide meets you and transfers you to Ben Gurion International Airport for your final flight back home.
