Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: A full day tour to the Acropolis

Acropolis dominates the skyline of the capital city, Greece. When in Greece, you simply can’t miss visiting the tremendous attraction hubs Acropolis holds. Witness the alluring yet epic statue of Athena who was also the goddess of Athens. It is made up of all marble giving it an all glittery look from the top to the bottom. In case you are an art lover, visit the remote areas of Doric columns and spectacular temples of Acropolis. There will be a ton of things to marvel by. In short, Acropolis would be great to explore on the first day of your Family Vacation in Greece. The things to do are less but significantly the best to be done on the first day of the tour.

Day 2: Climbing up the Mount Olympus

If adventure is in your soul, Mount Olympus should be your next holiday destination in Greece. Wake up early in the morning, get done with your breakfast, and head straight to the imperious Mount Olympus. These are one of the famous mountains in the world which no traveler should skip climbing up. To do this, travel to  Litochoro where you can trek in parts or climb all the way to the top as per your fitness limits. This full-day adventure in the hills of Mount Olympus would be enough to drain your energy levels, so do not miss to stuff yourself well before jumping to the mountains. Leave the mountains before the dark and enjoy your dinner in the hotel itself.

Day 3: Leisure time at Lake Plastira

Want to witness something unusual in Greece? Jump to the beautiful lake Plastira and get mesmerized by the plethora of natural beauty this place holds for the visitors. Visit this lake and you will find how different it is from the remaining man-made waterholes. The entire lake is canvassed by oak and chestnut trees. All this gives you a perfect environment to enjoy canoeing and rafting in the lap of the mother nature. If you are not a water person, skip the waters and switch to the exciting horse riding along the shores. You won’t get this kind of ride anywhere in Greece, so just grab it for an adventure-filled afternoon.

Day 4: Explore Santorini on an electric bike

Self-exploration is the best thing you can do on any trip and Santorini is no different. To make your Europe honeymoon vacation more special, rent an electric bike and go on a self-exploring tour of the island. Rent two bikes to travel individually or rent one and make your partner sit behind you and go ahead for a romantic excursion. When biking, try to get away from the crowd and big houses. The best places where you can actually enjoy electrick biking are around the coast, past windmills, and untamed roads of old villages. With the battery-powered bikes by your side, you can even climb hills and cover long distances without losing your breath.

Day 5: Visit the monasteries of Meteora

You might have visited a couple of monasteries - some in the hills and some in the plains, but have you visited one in the top of the sky-high rock formations/ If not, reserve your last day of Greece Family Vacation to spot the Meteora monastery that sits on top of towering rock formations.
In total, you will find 6 monasteries in Meteora all of which you can explore on a full day Meteora tour. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site which doubles the excitement, so put your family member altogether to witness the epic monasteries of Meteora.
