Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Armenia

If you have just four days and want to explore the world, travel to Armenia, it will make the most of your precious time. You will be landing at the Zvartnots International Airport and met with your personal guide. He will be taking you to your luxurious hotel in Yerevan. Today you will just be spending some leisure time getting acquainted with the environment of the place. It’s time to relax and free yourself from the jetlags of the previous day journey.

 

Day 2: Yerevan  - Explore the City

This is the second day of your Armenia Holiday Trip! Today, after breakfast and everything, you will be starting your exploration from the Republic Square. You will be discovering the magnificence of the building here and the beautiful fountains around.

  • You will be walking along the Abovyan Street, which is one of Yerevan’s oldest streets. You will also see the Great Silk Road, Opera House, and Northern Avenue.

  • Next spot will be the mammoth Monument of Cascade and the “Covered” Bazaar.

  • During the  Mashtots Avenue, the “Covered” Bazaar is also known to be “Pak Shuka”. It’s the perfect food museum.

  • Then you will be visiting the History Museum of Armenia, where you will get to delve into the mesmerizing history of Armenia. It’s believed to be one of the most traveled museums in the world.

  • the History Museum of Armenia perfectly showcases the culture and history of Armenia. Here you will get to see the 5500 years old shoes.

  • Then you will be visiting the Matenadaran-Repository. It was named after St. Mesrop Mashtots and is an institute of old manuscripts.

  • Matenadaran-Repository is the biggest center that teaches the art of safekeeping manuscripts of Armenia.

 

Day 3: Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery & Lake Sevan

The only Temple that does not belong to the Christian community is the Pagan Temple of Garni in Armenia. This temple was built in 77 AD to celebrate God Mithra, the God of Sun. It was the Armenian King Trdat I who is believed to have built this temple. Garni’s architectural complex used to be the summer residence of Kings of Armenia and foremost center of Hellenistic culture.

  • Today is the third day of your Armenia Holiday, you are going to drive 9km from Garni and will be reaching the Monastery of Geghard.

  • The Monastery of Geghard is one of those structures listed among the List of UNESCO World Heritage sites. This ancient Armenia Monastery has been built by carving mountains.

  • While the main cathedral part was built in 1215, the monastery has been standing there from the 4th century.

  • Many people claim that the holy lance that was used to pierce the body of Christ belonged to this place.

  • After this, you will be making your way towards Lake Sevan, which the biggest of all the Lakes in Armenia and most high altitude lakes around the globe.

  • At the end of the day, you will be visiting the Monastery of Sevanavank, a 9th-century monastery.

                                                       

Day 4:  Yerevan

This is the last part of your trip to Armenia! You are going to see the best of this mesmerizing this part of Europe. It’s going to to be a real being in this land with varied culture, tourist destinations, rich history and much more.
