On reaching Cairo, you will meet your private guide at the airport and be transferred to the hotel. Explore the local market and enjoy varied delicacies before returning to your hotel for an elaborate dinner.
Day 2: Cairo Exploration
After breakfast, make your way to the Bent Pyramid at Dahshur, one of the earliest examples of Pyramid architecture, and visit the behemoths at Giza including the Sphinx. Continue to the stepped pyramid of Saqqara. In the evening, tour the Grand Egyptian Museum (the largest museum in the world) and see some of the amazing artifacts and treasures from ancient Egypt, including the treasures of Tutankhamun ( a famous Egyptian pharaoh).
Day 3: More Time in Cairo
Today, enjoy a full-day tour around Cairo with your private guide. First, head to the Museum Of Modern Egyptian Art. Later, make your way to the Citadel for the fantastic views over the city, the back streets of Coptic Cairo, and the forthright Hanging Church. Return to your hotel for dinner.
Day 4: Cruise Tour in Luxor
Your private guide will take you to the airport this morning for your flight to Luxor (one hour and ten minutes) and then board your luxury Nile cruise. Explore the Temples of Karnak and Luxor today.
Day 5: Luxor Exploration
Enjoy a tour of Luxor's West Bank today. Visit the Valley of the Kings, where you can descend into tombs adorned with surprisingly vivid hieroglyphics, the Temple of Hatshepsut, the Valley of the Queens, and the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch, enjoy the day at leisure on your luxury cruise; enjoying a private spa and much more. Your next stop is at Edfu, where you'll have an overnight stay.
Day 6: Another Day in Luxor
This morning, visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Your guide takes you through its hypostyle halls, narrating the colossal struggle between Seth and Horus in medieval Egyptian mythology. Later sail on to Kom Ombo where youll visit the temples of Sobek, Haroeris, and Ptolemaic temples, which are dedicated unusually to two different gods. Sail on to Aswan, where you will have an overnight stay.
Day 7: Boat Ride in Luxor
Today you will head out to Aswan High Dam, gaining an insight into its construction and the consequences for this area of Egypt. Embark on a short boat ride to visit the Temple of Philae. Your private guide narrates how UNESCO took measures to protect it from flooding. As a temple, it's renowned for having its unique ambiance as a shrine to the goddess Isis. Have a delicious dinner at a gourmet restaurant before returning to your hotel.
Day 8: Heading to Kitchener Island
Your private guide will take you on a 35-minute ride to visit Kitchener Island and explore its Nubian village architecture. Then visit the Abu Simbel temples. Spend the evening at leisure. Return to your hotel.
Day 9: A Relaxing Day in Aswan
Today, enjoy the quaint town of Aswan. Visiting the centrally located Nubian Museum to learn the history of the Nubian people of southern Egypt and the Aswan botanical gardens. Its also home to several souqs, which are great for shopping and meandering around. Taste the local cuisine before heading back to the hotel.
Day 10: Departure Back Home
This morning, your private guide will escort you to the airport and you will catch your flight to Cairo for your journey back home.
