Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Bogota

Today, you’ll begin your Colombia journey by boarding an international outbound flight to Bogota. You’ll meet your private guide at the airport who’ll then escort you to your hotel in the heart of the city. After you check-in, get some time to relax into the comforts of your hotel room and get acquainted with the atmospheric vibes of Colombia!

Day 2: A Day of Exploring Bogota

The city of Bogota is beating heart of Colombia, and is the perfect place to begin with your Colombian journey! On the very first morning in Colombia, visit La Candelaria, Bogota’s cultural core. Cobblestone pathways lined with lively graffiti are a hallmark of this traditional-cum-bohemian neighborhood, where old-fashioned vendors and political street art flourish. Get your camera ready for some stunning photography of Bogota’s 18th- and 19th-century architecture.

Explore further the historic Candelaria district, the Gold Museum and Bolivar Plaza.

Day 3: More of Bogota

This morning, enjoy a privately guided walk through the Palo Quemado Market for a sensory delight and look into local life before you take a cable car up to Bogota’s central peak, Monserrate for stunning views of the city below. While the cable car up the mountain is an amazing experience in itself, watching a beautiful sunset from the top of Monserrate is an experience that you cannot miss at any cost!

Later in the evening, just pop into a local cafe for a cup of Tinto, which is the most traditional preparation of Colombia's incredible coffee. If you feel hungry, you can feed up on mouth-watering street food like arepas.

Bogota’s party scene is renowned internationally - and for good reason! Whether you’re in the mood to just catch some live music or hit a club, dance salsa, and drink a quiet microbrew, Bogota’s nightlife has it all for you. Even though Zona T is known as Bogota’s most party-centric neighborhood, you can also check out Chapinero, considered as the city’s hipster haven, and find nightly shenanigans aplenty.

Day 4: Visiting Villa de Leyva

Today morning, you’ll be driven out from Bogota to the old-world colonial town of Villa de Leyva. En route, you'll also have a privately guided tour of the Zipaquira Salt Cathedral, which is one of the world's most unique cathedrals.

Day 5: Another Day in Villa de Leyva

Today, you can explore the past and present of Villa de Leyva on a privately guided tour around the town.

Day 6: Heading to Armenia

In the morning, after breakfast, you’ll be transferred back to Bogota for your flight to the coffee region. On reaching, you'll meet your guide and venture the rolling green countryside to your lodge.

Day 7: Armenia Excursion

Today is dedicated entirely for a full day excursion visiting the small towns of Salento and Filandia before wandering around the towering wax palm trees in Valle Cocora.

Day 8: A Day in Cartagena

This morning, you’ll fly to Cartagena via Bogota. Upon your arrival, you'll meet your guide at the airport who’ll drive you to your hotel in the old city. Cartagena’s 17th-century cobblestone streets, picturesque pathways, vine-covered buildings, and giant church towers truly make the city a quaint place, while its beautiful beaches and marvelous, fresh cuisine make it a favorite destination for tourists all around the globe.

Day 9: Visiting Isla Mucura

Today, you’ll be leaving the mainland for the Rosario Islands behind and will be enjoying the idyllic Caribbean surroundings. Head out into the waters on a stand-up paddleboard or go kayaking. You can also opt for cycling around the island or go back into the water for some snorkeling.
