Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Santiago

Welcome to Chile. On arrival at the Santiago airport, meet your private guide, who will drive you to your hotel. Later, go on a guided introductory tour to famous sights such as La Moneda, Plaza de Armas, and Mercado Central. Return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 2: Santiago to Valparaiso

Your private guide will pick you up early morning to head towards the west coast. Stop for a wine tasting in the Casablanca Valley, about 45 minutes outside Santiago. Taste the famous crisp Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc or beautiful reds like Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Syrah. Afterward, continue your drive for approximately 1.5 hours through the lush green vineyards to the coast and the picturesque city of Valparaiso. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring the city. Some popular attractions include the Cerro Alegre, the Plaza Sotomayor, and the Valparaiso Cultural Park. Have dinner at your hotel.

Day 3: Valparaiso exploration

Today, take a tour of Valparaiso and Via del Mar, two of the most popular destinations on Chile's central coast. The tour will include visits to the Valparaiso Cathedral, the La Sebastiana Museum, and the Wulff Castle. After lunch, take a guided walking tour to the Lukas Museum, which houses the collection of creative works by the cartoonist and illustrator Renzo Pecchenino (Lukas). The walking tour ends in Muelle Prat (Prat Dock), a pleasant spot to view sailors arriving in their Lanchas or small ships and to soak up the usual buzz and bustle of harbourside life. Taste the Chilean food at a local restaurant and return to the hotel.

Day 4: San Pedro de Atacama

Take a two-hour flight to Calama. On arrival, your guide will meet and drive you for approximately 1.5 hours to San Pedro accommodation. Take an introductory tour around the small city in the evening. Visit Some popular attractions, including the Church of San Pedro, the Pukar de Quitor, and the R.P. Gustavo Le Paige Archaeological Museum, before enjoying an elaborate dinner at your hotel.

Day 5: HikingEl Tatio geyser

Start in the wee hours on a 2.5-hour drive to the El Tatio geyser field from San Pedro. Go on a 1.5-hour hiking excursion to discover as more than 100 geysers huff and puff around you. Find gorgeous views of the winding mountain ways and snow-covered peaks of many active and sleeping volcanoes. On the way back, enjoy a delicious lunch in a premium restaurant. 

Day 6: Discovering Moon Valley and the Salt Mountain Range

Head out on a guided excursion to the Moon Valley in the Atacama desert, Situated around 10 km from San Pedro de Atacama; this has been declared a natural sanctuary as part of the Los Flamencos National Reserve (within the Salt Mountain range). On this trip, view a geological spectacle of many colors and formations, similar to the moon's surface. Visit the Tres Marias statues and the salt cave, trek up to the Gran Duna (Great Dune), and admire a magnificent panorama as the sun sets and the sky becomes an artists vision. Have a delicious dinner at a gourmet restaurant before heading to your hotel. 

Day 7: Return to Santiago

Today we will transfer you back to Calama airport for your flight back to Santiago. On arrival, enjoy a free afternoon to explore Santiago further and visit one of Santiagos most renowned museums, La Chascona. The former home of beloved poet and Nobel Laureate Pablo Neruda, the playful residence provides a snapshot into the life and mind of Neruda and is loaded with art, eccentric collections, and even his Nobel Prize. The free afternoon is free to explore the city further on your own.

Day 8: Departure

Your private guide will transfer you to the airport to ensure a safe departure. Fly home with the unforgettable memories of your days in Chile.
