The strong Catholic legacy, as well as Portuguese heritage in the historic buildings, are quite observable in every turn you take.

Visit Pelourinho to have a different look at the historic quarter. Wander around the cobblestoned streets under the illuminance of the streetlamps searching the sounds and rhythms of Bahia. The local art, ethnic mix, and the street parties will be observed in every corner of the city.
