Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Paro

Welcome to the magical land of the Thunder Dragon - Paro. Upon landing, you will yourself feel the magic in the air of this majesty place. While the aura is peeking into your soul, you will meet our guide who will take you to the uphills which is 7,300 feet above the sea level. Let the guide make it a bit easy with a short to the hotel. So, check in to your hotel, get freshen up, and enjoy a Bhutanese lunch for the day which is included in your Bhutan Tour Package. If you get time, head out to visit a few sights around the capital city of Thimphu.

Day 2: A full day tour to Thimpu

Start with the Centenary Farmers’ Market where most of the locals gather on the banks of the river every weekend. This is the best place to witness the local people and know about the history of this place. The main objective of local people visiting Thimpu every weekend is agricultural products and handmade crafts. So, buy some if you really like them. In the afternoon, visit the National Folk Heritage Museum which connects Bhutan to its past with exhibitions, demonstrations, and artifacts. Before the late evening, you can also pay a short visit to National Memorial Chorten which is a hemispherical shaped memorial stupa and known as a place of meditation. Return to your lodge before the dark for a delectable dinner.

Day 3: On the way to Punakha

Punakha is a former capital of Bhutan and it deserves your visit. On your way to Punakha, your guide will stop you at several stoppages to break the monotony and add some entertainment to your trip. These stoppages include Dochula Pass, Punakha Dzong, and Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten. All of them are stunningly beautiful places and you will enjoy a short at these places. And of course, you will get many many alluring background-drops for your picture-perfect selfies there.

Day 4-5: Punakha to Bhumthang

Bumthang Valley is the heartland of Buddhism in Bhutan. It is believed that in 746 AD, Guru Rinpoche arrived here to exorcize a demon from the king. To restore peace, he then, converted the people to Buddhism. During his stay in the valley, he built more than 40 temples and all of them are a part of Bhutan tourist attraction. On the second day, hike to Tamzhing Goemba which is an important monastery because of its direct connection to the Buddhist saint, Pema Lingpa.

Day 6: Departure

After spending 5 days in the spiritual land of Bhutan, it’s finally a time to say a goodbye to this place. Hold your kids and your belongings carefully while leaving the hotel room. And yes, do not miss to have your farewell lunch in the hotel. You will love it.
