Day 1: Arrival in Kuala Lumpur

After touching down in Kuala Lumpur, you'll be greeted by your private guide and transferred to your hotel. Take the day to explore the city, visit local attractions and try some delicious Malaysian food.

Day 2: Flight to Sandakan and transfer to Deramakot Forest Reserve

After breakfast, we will transfer to the airport for your flight to Sandakan. Upon arrival, your guide will greet you and transfer you to the lush rainforests of Deramakot Forest Reserve. The drive will take you through the lush and beautiful countryside, providing a glimpse of Malaysia's natural beauty. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation, freshen up, and prepare for an exciting late afternoon safari in reserve. As the sun sets, witness the forest come alive, and you'll have the chance to spot elephants, tigers, and sun bears in their natural habitat. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay, ready to wake up early for another day of adventure.

Day 3: Full-day Safari in Deramakot Forest Reserve

Start your day with an early morning safari in the reserve as the forest awakens and the animals are most active. Enjoy breakfast at the accommodation before continuing with a full-day safari, exploring the different habitats of the reserve. Take a guided hike through the rainforest, observing various wildlife, including birds, primates, and big cats. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay, with memories of a day well spent.

Day 4: Fly to Kota Kinabalu

Board a fifty-minute flight to Kinabalu. Start your day in Kota Kinabalu with a visit to the grand Sabah State Mosque, one of the largest in Southeast Asia. Marvel at its intricate architecture and learn about its history as your guide leads you through its halls. Next, ascend to the Signal Hill Observatory Deck for a breathtaking panoramic view of the city and the surrounding mountains. Afterward, indulge in a traditional Malaysian lunch at a local restaurant and taste the city's flavors. You will be spoilt for choices from Nasi Lemak to Laksa and Roti Canai. Continue your journey by visiting the Sabah Museum, where you will discover Sabah's rich history and culture.

Learn about the indigenous tribes, the British colonial era, and the development of the state. Take a stroll along the Kota Kinabalu Waterfront and enjoy the sea breeze. Visit the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, a group of five islands off the coast of Kota Kinabalu. Take a boat tour and discover the beauty of the coral reefs and marine life. Day 5: Visit Klias Wetlands

After breakfast, we will transfer to Klias Wetlands (a two-hour drive), a unique ecosystem of mangrove forests, mudflats, and estuaries. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation and freshen up before embarking on a boat safari. Glide along the tranquil waters of the wetlands, observing the proboscis monkeys and crocodiles in their natural habitat. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight, ready for another exciting day.

Day 6: Another day in Klias and around

After breakfast, hop on a river cruise to spot wildlife and visit the local Bajau village. Learn the traditional way of life of the Bajau people and their unique relationship with the wetlands. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer back to Kuala Lumpur

Fly back to Kuala Lumpur and stroll through the colorful Central Market, where you can find everything from handmade crafts to conventional clothing. Afterward, head to the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, where you can take an elevator to the observation deck for panoramic city views. Later, head to the National Museum, where you can learn about the history and culture of Malaysia. After that, you can take a break and enjoy a delicious lunch at a gourmet restaurant. Stroll through the beautiful Lake Gardens in the afternoon, home to various flora and fauna. Afterward, head to the Batu Caves, a series of limestone caves and temples outside the city. Day 8: Departure
