Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Jakarta, transfer to Bogor

Upon arriving at Jakarta International Airport, you will be greeted by your private guide, who will drive you from the airport to Bogor. It will take approximately one hour. Upon arrival in Bogor, you will check into your hotel, where you can relax and rest after your long flight.

Day 2: Sight-seeing in Bogor

Visit the Bogor Palace, also known as Istana Bogor. This stunning palace was built in the 19th century and is surrounded by beautiful gardens and parks. Go on a guided tour of the palace to learn about its history and architecture. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, where you can sample some of Bogor's famous cuisine, including dishes like nasi goreng (fried rice) and sate (skewered meat). Then head for a stroll through the Bogor Botanical Gardens, home to a vast collection of exotic plants and trees, including the giant bamboo and the giant Amazon lily. The gardens are also a popular spot for birdwatching, with over 200 species of birds in the area. Return to your hotel and relax for the night.

Day 3: Visit Gunung Halimun National Park

After breakfast, you will set off to Gunung Halimun National Park, about two hours and thirty minutes away from Bogor. This park is known for its lush forest, diverse wildlife, and scenic views. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the late afternoon, you will embark on a Safari adventure through the park, where you will have the opportunity to see various animals, including the Javan slow loris and Javan leopard, as well as various species of birds. In the evening, you will continue your tour, taking in the breathtaking views of the park and its surroundings. As the sun sets, return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 4: Visit Ujung Kulon National Park

Today, hop on a six-hour scenic drive to Ujung Kulon National Park. En route, you will stop by Curug Cilember, a stunning waterfall surrounded by lush greenery, and have lunch here. Upon arrival, check into a cozy lodge near the park for rest and enjoy a delicious dinner. 

Day 5: Ujung Kulon National Park Safari

Enjoy an early morning Safari and get a chance to view the last habitats of the Javan rhinoceros and a variety of other wildlife, including saltwater crocodiles, monkeys, and various bird species. Have lunch and head for a boat tour of the park, exploring its mangrove forests and keeping an eye out for the wildlife that inhabits the area. Return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 6: Cimaja Beach Surf and Return to Bogor

Start the day with a delicious breakfast and head back to Bogor with a stop at Cimaja Surf Beach for relaxation, or pick up a surfboard and hit the waves. Have lunch at a seaside restaurant serving delicious Indonesian traditional cuisine. Also, explore the surrounding area and visit nearby attractions, such as the Cimaja Waterfall or the Cimaja Temple. Continue your journey to Bogor. Upon arrival, check into your hotel, have a delicious dinner, and retire for the day.

Day 7: Return to Jakarta and City Exploration

After breakfast, you will take the two-hour drive back to Jakarta, where you will check into your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the National Museum, which houses a vast collection of artifacts and exhibits showcasing Indonesia's rich history and culture. Then proceed to the iconic National Monument, a towering obelisk that symbolizes Indonesia's independence. In the evening, sample some of Jakarta's delicious street food. End the day by visiting the bustling night market of Pasar Baru, where you can browse various goods, from clothing and accessories to traditional Indonesian snacks and sweets. Return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 8: Jakarta Sightseeing and Departure

Today, you will continue your exploration of Jakarta, visiting some of the city's most famous landmarks and attractions. Visit the Istiqlal Mosque, the largest mosque in Indonesia, and then take a stroll through Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, a cultural park showcasing Indonesia's many islands' diverse cultures and traditions. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight, bringing your 8-Day epic Indonesia Tour to an end. Happy Journey!
