Welcome to India! After arriving at the airport in Delhi, you will be greeted by your private guide and transferred to your hotel. Later, embark on a city tour. Visit the Raj ghat and the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Have a delicious old-Delhi-style dinner and return to your hotel for rest.
Day 2: Sight-seeing in Delhi
After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the iconic Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which offers a glimpse into the Mughal era. Then, head to the Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world and another UNESCO World Heritage Site. The minaret was built in the 12th century and is a beautiful example of Islamic architecture. Have a traditional lunch in a local restaurant, then proceed to the Lotus Temple, a Bahai House of Worship shaped like a lotus flower. Take a rickshaw ride through the streets of Old Delhi and experience the local culture. Visit the India Gate, a war memorial dedicated to the Indian soldiers. Return to your hotel for dinner
Day 3: Journey to Agra
Today, get a private transfer to Agra (a 3-hour drive). Then visit the Agra Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and a masterpiece of Mughal architecture. The fort was built by the emperor Akbar in the 16th century and was once the seat of the Mughal Empire. It offers a stunning view of the Taj Mahal from its ramparts. Next, visit the Itimad-ud-Daulah, also known as the Baby Taj, a mausoleum made of white marble and inlaid with precious stones. Have a Mughlai lunch, then visit the Mehtab Bagh, a beautiful garden opposite bank of the Yamuna River, offering a stunning view of the Taj Mahal. In the evening, stroll through the local markets of Agra, where you can find a variety of handicrafts, textiles, and souvenirs. Stay in a cozy hotel for the night.
Day 4: Agra to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri
Today, begin your journey to Jaipur, the pink city of Rajasthan (a six-hour drive), stopping en route for a visit to Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and former capital of the Mughal Empire. This stunning complex was built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century and is considered one of the best examples of Mughal architecture. The complex includes several palaces, including the Panch Mahal, a five-story palace known for its intricate carvings, and the Diwan-i-Khas, a hall for a private audience. You will also see the Buland Darwaza, one of the most significant gateways in the world, and the Jama Masjid, a grand mosque. After the tour, continue your journey to Jaipur and check into your hotel.
Day 5: Exploring Jaipur
After breakfast, start your day with a visit to the Amber Fort, an example of Rajput architecture. The fort, built in the 16th century, blends Hindu and Muslim architecture and features beautiful courtyards, halls, and gardens. Next, visit the Jantar Mantar, an 18th-century astronomical observatory filled with architectural instruments used to study celestial movements. In the afternoon, marvel at the Hawa Mahal, known as the "Palace of the Winds." This palace was built for the royal ladies to observe daily life and processions in the city. It is a stunning example of Rajput architecture. Afterward, check in to a luxury hotel for a luxurious dinner and a comfortable night's rest.
Day 6: Elephant safari in Jaipur
Spend the day on an elephant safari in Jaipur, where you'll explore the city's famous monuments and palaces from a unique perspective. The elephant safari will take you to Jaipur's iconic landmarks, including the Amber Fort and the Jal Mahal. Along the way, you'll also get to see local artisans at work and learn about the history and culture of Jaipur. Have lunch at a local restaurant and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Then head for a traditional and elaborate eight-course dinner at Chokhi Dhani before returning to your hotel.
Day 7: Leopard Safari in Jhalna
Today, embark on a Leopard Safari in Jhalna (a three-hour drive from Jaipur), a small village on the Aravalli Hills, one of the most famous hills of India; Jhalna is known for its rich biodiversity and is home to various wildlife, including leopards. The safari will take you through the forested areas, where you can spot leopards and other wildlife in their natural habitat. After the safari, return to Jaipur and enjoy a traditional Rajasthani dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 8: Sariska National Park: A Full-Day Safari Adventure
Head out on a full-day trip to Sariska National Park, just 2-hours from Jaipur. The park boasts diverse wildlife, including the elusive tiger and the majestic leopard. Take a guided tour through the park, where you'll be able to spot these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Along the way, you'll also discover the park's rich biodiversity and learn about the conservation efforts to protect these animals. After a day of adventure, return to Jaipur and reflect on the wild memories you made.
Day 9: Return to Delhi
Today, return to Delhi and check into your hotel. The rest of the day is spent leisurely exploring the famous markets for shopping, such as Sarojini Nagar market, and Delhi Haat, for doing some last-minute shopping for souvenirs.
Day 10: Departure
Today, transfer to the Delhi airport for your flight back home. Your Asia Safari comes to an end, but the memories of the beautiful monuments, culture, and wildlife will last a lifetime.
