Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

As you as your flight touches the ground, you will find yourself under the guidance of experts. A local guide will meet you at the exit doors of Entebbe International Airport. Let him receive your baggage and transfer to the hotel which is at a short drive from the airport. Your ultimate Uganda camping adventure will begin tomorrow. For the rest of the day, you can simply rest in your room, enjoy the food, and feel the freshness in the air that this adventurous country has stocked in for years.

Day 2: Mabamba swamps and drive to Jinja

Wake up in the early morning. Nothing can feel better than the fresh cup of cappuccino served at your doorsteps. Lucky You!! Before starting the day, do have a small meeting with your agent or guide - whoever is available at the hotel - and then proceed for a full-day guided tour to Mabamba swamps and drive to Jinja.

The swamp is located on the Lake Victoria and also home to countless water birds. The Jinja is known as the birthplace of River Nile and hence, deserves your visit during the trip. A boat ride on the river Nile will make your day. You will return to your hotel before the dark for dinner.

Day 3: Kitgum via Nyero Rock Paintings

Today you will drive to Moroto town and spend a night in the town right before your next Uganda camping adventure. On the way, you will visit the admiring Nyero rock paintings. This is the place where you can set up a camp, relax, and enjoy the beautiful and tranquil ambiance that this peaceful town exudes.

Day 4: Kidepo Valley National Park

An evening game drive in the Kidepo Valley National Park is what attracts travelers across the world and so will be you on the fourth day of your Uganda Safari. A short drive from your previous destination will take you to this beautiful and densely populated park. You will reach the lodge located in the park in the afternoon for lunch. After having lunch in the lodge and rest for a few hours, you will enter the park to explore the many wild animals who reside there. An evening game drive might sound a bit scary in the country like Uganda but it is equally adventurous too. To add more to the drive, you will set up a camp and spend the night in the park. Do not get scared to hear the sounds of the native animals. It can be a roar of a lion or the hooting of the chimps.

Day 5: Nature Walk

In the morning, you will again find yourself driving for your next destination. The beauty of this trip is that you will never get time to get bored. The time you feel you have explored it all, you will find the driver driving you to the next destination to witness a different landscape with different animals. Animals might be the same but their actions and encounters will be a lot different.

The next destination of your Uganda Camping adventure is the marvelous Nature walk. You will drive through the Narus Valley for a leisure nature walk in the park. Explore the park at a leisurely pace before settling down to your camp.

Day 6: Murchison Falls

After the wildlife, if there is something that can be ranked among the top attractions of Uganda it would be the stunning Murchison Falls. Murchison Falls is a beautiful place where you will witness the enormous flow of River Nile forced to pass through a narrow passage of two rocks before mixing into the waters. The scenery formed is awesome and so as its surroundings. When you are done with the photo session done with the mesmerizing Murchison Falls background, do not miss to visit the park which is home to many wild animals. Like other places, this park also boasts a large number of wild animals who deserve your visit.

Before you start exploring the park, do set up a camp in the ground which seems perfect to you. Once the camp has been settled and your stomach is full, head straight to the park for an evening game drive. This is the best way to explore the majestic Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 7: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

On your trip to Uganda, Bwindi will be the last place you will visit and explore. Being last on your list does not mean it has least to show. In fact, we have kept the most interesting and adventurous part of your trip at the end of the safari. Uganda safari is all about national parks and forests. The more you explore, the less you will feel connected to humans. One of such parks is the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park which you will get to explore on the day 7 of your Uganda tour. Take a flight to  Bwindi and land to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park right at the core.

Meet your guide with a rented vehicle and jump to the entrance gate of the park. From the gate, your much-awaited gorilla trekking actually starts. With a local bushman by your side, you will see yourself delving deeper into the forest. In the initial hours, you might not be able to spot them but the sounds of gorillas will keep you motivated. You will continue walking wandering your eyes into the bushy forest and in no time you will find a small gorilla troop standing a few meters away from you. The dream to witness this magical moment has just been fulfilled leaving you in a jaw-dropping mode. For some seconds, you won’t believe your eyes that the gorillas are actually there. Experience such magical moments in the park for an hour or two before leaving the park for Entebbe.

Day 8: Departure

Your 8-day Uganda Camping Adventure is finally completing and today you will be saying Cheerios to the scenic beauty of this place. With lots of special memories in your heart, you will transfer to the airport for a happy return. Do not miss to enjoy your farewell breakfast in the hotel before the exit formalities.
