Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Relaxing on the river Nile

While traveling from Entebbe to Jinja, you will get a chance to relax a bit on the edges of the river Nile. After the hours-long journey, relaxing along the shores would act like a rejuvenation of energy for your body. So, go ahead and enjoy being close to the river Nile. The river is totally picturesque so you can have as many selfies as you want.

Day 2: Arriving Jinja and experiencing the first white water river rafting

See how slowly but steadily water starts. See yourself drifting, gliding beneath branches that spill high above the Nile. And then comes the downfall.  The raft suddenly picks up speed, magnetically pulled by the gushing waters of the first rapid. In an instant, you're over the edge, dropping three meters before paddling furiously to escape the swirl. Do not panic as this will happen for a few seconds. Shake your eyes clear of the water as another rapid is coming, this time, a grade five, the highest that can be navigated by non-professional rafters. Enjoy all this in Jinja only.

Day 3-4: Enter into the rainforests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After spending two days in Entebbe, it’s time to finally take a leave from it and travel to the misty rainforests of Bwindi Impenetrable National park. There are mountains, green fields covered with thick forests and of course the wildlife. You can spend up to 2days at this park while staying in one of the luxurious lodges of Bwindi. Do not miss to spot the blue-faced and golden monkeys in the deep forests of Bwindi. With their strange blue faces and shimmering fur, these unusual primates are just one of many to be found in Bwindi, a forest that has always been too thick and steep for a man to tame. Do not carry any food in your hands as these monkeys will steal it away with the blink of an eye.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking in the remote forest of Uganda

No gorilla safari can be completed without spotting the real gorillas and hence on the last day of your trip, you will actually encounter with the African gorillas that reside in the thick rainforests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Devote the day 5 to exploring the remote areas of Uganda and spot the gorillas like never before. Follow the footprints of the giants while keeping your ear and eyes open for the ultimate encounter. With a Uganda guide by your side, this gorilla trekking tour will make you see the giants within a few hours of your journey. Maybe you see them after an hour, but spend the next 90 minutes following them until they stop to feed. It's all part of the experience, the unpredictability enhancing the feeling of being deep in the wild.
