Lunar New Year

Ghost Festival or Wandering Souls Day

In this festival, people pay respect to their ancestors, who are dead. Just before a day of 'Wandering souls day' all the families offer prayers, flowers and other things on the graves of their ancestors. People usually burn paper money, and clothes for the spirits and pray for their better afterlife. You can visit hue's pagodas to witness this ritual on a grand level.
Vietnam independence day falls on September 2, as on this day they got independence from the French rule. It is an annual celebration that triumphs the historic victory for their independence.
