The all-included tour was all nice and there have been lots of ex gratia to suit everybody. Accommodations were excellent, all with a home feel. Tour bus, driver and tiny cluster size vehicle were all wonderful. Our guide was exceptional, terribly knowledgeable and very creative who made us feel welcome in his country. Belize has good weather in late Feb and continues to be mostly crowded by huge hotels and tourists.
Whether you like skin-dive in the Blue Hole, ziplining through the jungle cover, rappelling down waterfalls or creeping through ancient cave systems, this Central American nation could be a real destination. Head to Cayo District where you'll hike through darkened underground stream systems or hard-core cave in noted Actun Tunichil Muknal cave. Belize is home to 1 of the world's most mysterious civilizations – the traditional Maya. The Cayo District and Toledo's geographical are peppered with archeologic sites that date to the Maya period of time, where huge stones result in the super of tall stone temples. Explore excavated tombs and examine tangled hieroglyphs, or descend into natural caves to envision where the Maya kings performed rituals and created sacrifices to their gods. In the south, you'll appreciate the culture by staying in village guesthouses and by learning the art of chocolate-making.
