DETAILED ITINERARY

 

Day 1: Hanoi: Welcome to Vietnam

According to this Vietnam Travel Guide, you will be landing at the Hanoi Airport on the first Day. You will be greeted at the airport by your private guide and will be taken to your luxurious hotel in the town. This day is to completely relax and enjoy leisurely! In the afternoon, enjoy some free time and roam around your hotel room. In the night enjoy dinner at your hotel!

 

Day 2: Hanoi - Explore the City

Enjoy the entire day in exploring the main highlights of the city! You can start off from the Jang Be market, exploring the huge number of goods that it has in its kitty. Then there’s this Old Quarter, whose vast architecture is something to bask into. Here, your guide will tell you the related history and how the cultural history of different civilizations has resulted into what the urban city now looks like. Some of the other best tourist attractions of Hanoi are Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Temple of Literature, and One-Pillar Pagoda. And, it's a great idea to sample the local coffee of Hanoi and find out how it was evolved. At the end of the day, you can enjoy a water puppet show. This art show has been particularly designed to showcase the rural life of Vietnamese rural life. After this, you can come back to your hotel room and enjoy your dinner.

 

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay

After you are done with breakfast and everything, you will be picked up by your driver for your journey to Halong city. It is going to take around 4 hours to reach your destination and you will be passing through the Red River Delta. And, you will be reaching the Halong city by the afternoon. Then you can take some refreshment and enjoy chit-chatting with the locals. You will be then boarding ‘Junk’, the traditional wooden boat that will take you through exploring the UNESCO World Heritage at the Halong Bay. This place is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Vietnam and is known for the scattered limestone karsts and isles. On board the boat, you will be served with fresh seafood, for lunch and dinner. And, you will be spending your night aboard the boat.

 

Day 4: Halong to Hoi An

Today you will be enjoying your breakfast onboard the boat! You are still enjoying cruising through the Halong Bay, admiring its natural beauty. After breakfast, you will be venturing out to catch up a flight Danang. On the way, if you have time, you can stop by the pottery village. After reaching Danang, your personal guide will be greeting you and he will be taking you to your hotel room in Hoi An Town. And, you will be enjoying your dinner at a nearby restaurant in the town.

 

Day 5: Hoi An Town - Tra Que Village  

You will be starting your day by taking a short trip to the Tra Que village. It is going to take around 20 minutes by a wheeled bike or cycle. This particular village is known as the ‘village of vegetables’ and is known mostly for the special types of herbs that it produces. The people of Tra Que Village employ a special type of technique for plantations and the leaves are smaller as compared to normal. You will get to learn how these herbs are grown here and the locals will teach you to cook some of the special things of this particular place including herb dish called Tam Huu, and shrimp.

In the afternoon, you can explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hoi An Town. This place is particularly known for its beautifully preserved streets and ancient homes. Then you can enjoy strolling around the Chinese Temple, Phung Hung Chinese trading house, and ancient Chinese houses.

 

Day 6: Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City

Day 8:  Ho Chi Minh - Departure
