Day 1: Arrival in Edinburgh
Your Scotland journey begins today as you land at the Edinburgh International Airport. You’re met by your private guide at the airport and transferred to your centrally located hotel. Spend today’s afternoon exploring Edinburgh Castle all by yourselves and getting acquainted with the beautiful city.
Day 2: Exploring The City of Edinburgh
Today morning, you’ll meet a local food guide for a private food safari tour customized as per your tastes. This walking tour visits many local producers and you’ll sample various ingredients and dishes while hearing the tales of the people involved. Later in the evening, get ready to attend a traditional music and dance show accompanied by a 4-course Scottish meal.
Day 3: Visiting Methven
This morning, you’ll be driven north to Perth to visit the Black Watch Castle Museum. Enjoy a shared tour of this fascinating museum, which features the stories and history of the infamous Black Watch Highlanders' regiment. You'll spend today’s night in a castle just outside Perth.
Day 4: One Day Tour of Grantown-on-Spey
Today, continue your journey north to explore the Rothiemurchus Estate, situated in the heart of the Cairngorms. Embark on a private bike trek with a local guide in the morning. Later make your way to a working farm for a sheepdog experience.
Day 5: Heading to Barcaldine
Make your way west today to Loch Ness to embark on a shared cruise of the renowned Loch, which includes entry to the atmospheric Urquhart Castle. Head west towards the coast and spend today’s night on a private island, situated approximately half an hour from the vibrant port town of Oban.
Day 6: A Day Tour of Barcaldine
Today, board a shared wildlife cruise, which departs from a tiny village located on the coast just outside Oban. Discover whales, dolphins, porpoise, otters, and seals, and also deer and goats on the tiny islands that you pass.
Day 7: Venturing to Bridgend, Islay
This morning, you’ll be driven through the prehistoric remains of Kilmartin Glen on your way south to board the ferry across to Islay. The ferry takes around 2 hours. Upon landing on Islay, it'll be a short drive to your family-friendly hotel.
Day 8: Exploring Bridgend, Islay
Today, get ready to head out into the ocean on a shared wildlife boat trip accompanied by a local guide, who'll take you along the coast to witness seal colonies, otters and dolphins. Along the cruise, you'll plunge in and out of sheltered bays and witness the coastline from a number of different viewpoints. Later in the afternoon, make your way to the American monument located on the Oa Peninsula.
Day 9: Towards Loch Lomond
You’ll leave Islay today and take the ferry back to the mainland. Afterward, you’ll be driven to Loch Lomond. Later in the afternoon, embark on a speedboat ride around the islands towards the south end of the loch. Your hotel is located on the shores of the loch, overlooking the azure water.
Day 10: Another Day in Loch Lomond
Spend today admiring the magnificent Highland scenery from the unique perspective of the water on a guided kayak tour as you explore Loch Lomond.
Day 11: Departure Back Home
Today morning, bid goodbye to Scotland as you are driven to Glasgow airport to catch your onward flight back home.
