Day 3: More Time in Lisbon
Move outside of Lisbon today to explore nearby Sintra, which is believed to be a place of mystical power by Portugal's ancient Celts. The occult-inspired Quinta da Regaleira exhibits that belief in its mythological symbolism and hidden grottoes. Enjoy towering views from the Palacio da Pena and Palacio Nacional, have lunch in town before you head back to Lisbon.

Your first stop will be the capital of the region, Evora, which is known for its Roman ruins, Moorish alleyways, and Gothic cathedral before continuing further onto a wine-sampling lunch just outside the city. After lunch, return back to your hotel which is located deep in the Alentejo countryside.
Day 5: A Day Tour of Monsaraz
Spend your entire day today at leisure relishing the many facilities that your hotel has to offer. You can also rent a bike to drive through the hotel's sprawling property or pamper yourself at the Suzanne Kaufmann spa.
Day 6: Some More Time in Monsaraz
Spend another day at leisure at the hotel, taking advantage of the hotel's options that you did not get to experience yesterday. Wander around the hotel vineyards, culminating in a tasting, or make your way for stargazing at night in the observatory.
Day 7: Heading to Lamego
Wave goodbye to Porto this morning as you head out north to the Douro Valley. En route, stop in the countryside for a private cooking session, learning about traditional meals while relishing lunch in a family home. After a post-lunch walk of the property, make your way north to check in at the Six Senses Douro Valley, which is the luxury spa brand's first hotel in Europe.
Day 8: Exploring Lamego
Spend a full day today exploring the hills and vineyards of the Douro Valley and sampling wines at some of the region's best producers.
