Day 1: Arrival in Siem Reap
Today you begin your Cambodia tour by boarding your international outbound flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, you're met by your private guide at the airport and transferred to your hotel. After relaxing for some time, make your way out for an afternoon tour to the wonderful temples of Banteay Srei and Banteay Samre. Banteay Srei signifies ‘Citadel of the Women’. Your guide will explain to you how it's locally believed to built by women as the carving is too exquisite to be done by the hand of a man.
Day 2: Siem Reap Exploration
This morning, you’ll get to visit the most iconic site of Cambodia, i.e. Angkor Wat. Explore this phenomenal temple in the early morning light, thus escaping the crowds. Your private guide will help you to explore the site and find hidden spots that don't make the postcard images. Later in the afternoon, experience something unique and escape from the temples and town of Siem Reap. Embark on a private boat trip on the Tonle Sap, Southeast Asia's largest freshwater lake. With your experienced guide, you’ll visit some of the floating markets and experience the incredible daily life of the people so entwined with this isolated biosphere. Also, look out for some rare birdlife.
Day 3: Religious Tour of Siem Reap
Start your exploration today of the awe-inspiring temples of Angkor, visiting the mystifying Ta Prohm at dawn accompanied by an experienced private guide. You may also choose to return back to your hotel for some relaxation or continue exploring if you wish. After lunch, head out for a private guided tour of the medieval city of Angkor Thom, which houses the captivating faces of the Bayon. End your day watching the beautiful sunset from the Bayon.
Day 4: More Exploration in Siem Reap
Today will be the final day to explore the temples of Angkor with your guide, the itinerary can be customized to your interests. Possibly, you can discover new temples or revisit some of your favorite ones from the previous two days.
Day 5: A Free Day in Siem Reap
A free today to explore Siem Reap town, enjoy a relaxing day by the pool, indulge in a spa treatment or join a cooking class.
Day 6: Heading to Phnom Penh
This morning, your guide takes you to the airport for your flight to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel before you embark on a private guided tour of the city's cultural highlights. Some particular delights are the Royal Palace and National Museum as well as the busy market and a number of lively pagodas.
Day 7: Exploring Phnom Penh
Today is going to be a sobering experience as you explore the recent tumultuous history of a nation which is virtually destroyed by civil war. Your guide will take you to the Killing Fields just outside Phnom Penh and also to the genocide museum, which is a sharp reminder of the atrocities of the Khmer Rouge. Later in the afternoon, you can explore the city on your own or wander around the Russian market.
Day 8: Traveling to Kep
Today, you’ll be driven to the coastal village of Kep with your private guide. This 3-hour journey passes through pepper plantations which used to be one of the most in-demand spices in the world. The quaint fishing village of Kep is the perfect place to relax at the end of your day.
Day 9: A Boat Ride in Kep
You’ll enjoy a day at leisure today. Visit Rabbit Island, which is just a short boat ride away from the mainland. Spend the entire day relaxing in a hammock, swim in the sea and feast on seafood.
Day 10: Free Day in Kep
Today is another free day to relax. Your hotel has an amazing pool area or you might like to sample out the spa. For a special occasion, you can also book a private barbecue overlooking the Kep National Park.
Day 11: Some More Time in Kep
A sleepy, quaint atmosphere and a faded French colonial architecture lend an air of the lost colonial past to Kampot. Your guide will show you around the major attractions today on a private tour.
Day 12: Departure Back Home
Today you return back to Phnom Penh, a journey of 3 hours for your onward flight back home.
