DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Yerevan - Welcome to Armenia

Today, you will be landing in Yerevan Armenia! Here, you will be met with your private guide, who will welcome you wholeheartedly. He will be escorting you to your luxurious hotel in Yerevan. This is going to be a leisure day! You will relax, unwind and take your time to get acquainted with the new environment around. And, if you are left with some time, you can explore the area in the vicinity of your hotel and communicate with the locals of the city.

 

Day 2: Yerevan - Explore the Capital City

This day of the Holiday to Armenia is going to be an exploration through the capital city of Armenia. You will be beginning by visiting the Republic Square, the Cascade, and the Opera house. The cascade is where you will get to see sculptor Fernando Botero. Then you will be driving to Baghramyan Avenue. Here you will be seeing the National Academy of Sciences, the Parliament, and the Palace of President. Then you will be visiting Victory Park, here you will be enjoying the perfect panoramic view. And, never forget visiting the Manuscript museum of Matenadaran. At the end of the day, enjoy your dinner and get back to your hotel room.

 

Day 3: Yerevan – Explore Echmiadzin

This is the third day of your holiday in Armenia! Today, after having breakfast and everything, you will be driving down to the religious capital of Armenia Echmiadzin. This UNESCO World Heritage site is one of the best tourist attractions in Armenia. You will be first visiting the Zvartnots Cathedral, an archaeological site that belongs to the 7th-century architecture.

After this, you will be visiting the main Cathedral of Echmiadzin. Here, you will get to see a variety of valuable exhibits like the Holy Lance and a fragment of Noah’s Ark. You will be then returning to Yerevan and visiting the Armenia Genocide Memorial Complex. If you are left with some time, you can visit the handicraft market and get to a number of fascinating handmade carpets, handicrafts, and local souvenirs.

 

Day 4 Yerevan to Dilijan

This is the fourth day of your Holidays to Armenia and you will be driving down to Lake Sevan. Dilijan is 142 km away from Yerevan. This lake is also called the 'Pearl of Armenia'! And, above the lake is the Sevan monastery, a ninth-century edifice. Then you will be driving down to the resort town of Dilijan via the Lesser Caucasus Mountains. And, if you want to see the best example of the Armenian cross-stones then Goshavank monastery is the right thing to see.

 

Day 5: Dilijan to Dzoraget

You will be beginning on the fifth day of your holiday to Armenia by visiting the church of Odzun, a sixth-century edifice. Then you will be proceeding forward towards the Haghbat monasteries. Both of these tourist attractions in Armenia are listed among the UNESCO world heritage sites. These are believed to be a significant cultural, religious, and educational centers of the medieval period.

 

Day 6 Dzoraget to Yerevan

Today, you will be traveling back to Yerevan. Dzoraget is situated at a distance of 220 km from Yerevan. You are going to drive through the deep gorge of the Debed River! While on the way, you will be crossing a mountain pass and finally reaching the highest Mountain of Armenia, Mt Aragats. You will then be moving towards Armenian noblemen’s summer residence, Amberd medieval castle, located at an altitude of 2300 meter. And, the last spot of the fourth day of your best Armenia tours 2019, will be the Park of Letter, which is situated at foot of Mount Aragats.

 

Day 7 Yerevan - Khor Virap Monastery

This day, you will be moving towards the South to see the Khor Virap Monastery located in the agricultural land. You will get to experience an incredible view of Mount Ararat. Then you will be continuing with your journey to the Noravank Monastery, situated along the picturesque gorge. The Noravank Monastery. On the way, you will also be visiting the popular Areni village known widely for wine production. You can visit one of the family wineries and try out some wine.

 

Day 8 Yerevan

Today, you will be starting your journey in the morning after breakfast. You will be moving towards the Eastern Yerevan. Here, you will be visiting the unique medieval monastery of Geghard. You will get to see here some extraordinarily excellent acoustics. Your guide will tell you that solid rocks were used in carving some chambers of the monastery. You will then be continuing your journey towards the Garni village and visiting the pagan temple. The only remnant of the pre-Christian period in Armenia belonging to the 1st century AD is the pagan temple. At the end of the day, you will be enjoying a restaurant in Armenia and then getting back to your hotel.

 

Day 9 Yerevan - Departure

This is the last part of your holiday to Armenia! You will be catching up your flight back home. This is certainly going to make for one of the best trips of your life. Get ready to create some wonderful memories!
